My Restaurant Itinerary

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on here and I am starting to plan my next Disney trip for May of 2019 (this is the first trip I have planned). I have already picked out which restaurants I want to try for this trip. It will just be my boyfriend and me, so no kids.

Do the restaurants I picked out sound good? Or would you suggest others instead? We may switch the order of the days depending on emh, but this is the general plan so far:

Day 1 (Arrive at Disney): Eat early dinner at Boma
My boyfriend and I have been here before and really enjoy it. It is a must-do for us.

Day 2 (MK): Quick service meal for lunch (maybe Casey's Corner)
Dinner at Ohana (We haven't been here before and want to try something new)

Day 3 (AK): Quick service meal for lunch (not sure where)
Dinner at Sanaa (This is also a new restaurant for us)

Day 4 (HS): Lunch at Sci-FI
Dinner at 50s Prime Time

Day 5 (EC): We will be going during F&G, so we were planning on eating a lot of snacks during the day, so I didn't want to plan a sit-down meal.

Day 6 (Depart): We are actually going to Universal on this day and transferring hotels. Since this will be a rest day for us, we have time to eat at one last place at Disney. I was thinking about lunch at B&C?

I would love any suggestions or comments! We also really like breakfast, but I was not sure which day to have a nice breakfast on. We like to be at the parks for rope drop or morning emh, so it is hard to have time for a nice breakfast. Should we do breakfast on the last day (Kona Cafe?) instead of B&C. By the way, we are planning to stay at Pop.

It looks like you have two big meals on Day 4 you may not appreciate dinner after a big lunch. Day 4 may be a good day to have breakfast, (Kona Café, Grand Floridian Café or Captain’s Grille) skip lunch and have dinner. Pick, which you want more Sci-Fi, or 50’s PTC.

Sci-Fi and Prime Time are both pretty mediocre in my opinion. Prime Time is the better of the two.

For QS lunch in AK, I recommend Flame Tree BBQ or Sat'uli Canteen.

I only notice one semi-issue, like zurgandfriend said, Day 4 has 2 big meals planned. Normally that can be done, but you usually want to split it up with an early breakfast and a dinner if you are doing 2 big table service meals in a single day. I generally do an early breakfast at 7:30, 8am and then an early dinner at about 5pm. But you could do breakfast at say 10am if you wanted and then eat dinner closer to 7 or 8 or even 9p if you choose to.

Rest of your plans sound good!

I hope you enjoy Sanaa. It's one of our favorites. Get the bread sampler with ALL the dips!
I don't think 2 TS at DHS is necessarily too much. Perhaps space them out with an early lunch and a later dinner. Stick with something simple like the burgers at Sci Fi if you care about the food.

I think a nice late breakfast at Kona Cafe would be a great way to end your stay.

This! though I do not think Flame Tree is that great (never have, gasp I know LOL) But Sat'uli Canteen should not be missed. Very good food!

Personally I am not a fan of Beaches & Cream especially after our last visit. The ice cream is meh compared to Ample Hills across the way. I might go for a place like Olivia's or do Kona. I find both to be far superior

I agree with everyone's comments on the Kona breakfast.

Sanaa is also a great choice, the bread service is amazing! I am not sure of the time you normally eat dinner, but I would recommend you try to get a time while there is still light outside as part of the experience is seeing the animals on the Savanna. Additionally, try to get a window table when you check in for the meal.
