And DarkMeasures, no offense, but why are you so negative about other peoples parks? Especially the scale of them. You do know that RCT2's measurements are not real, just estimated guesses, right? I mean come on, this guys park is something great, but all you care about is the scale.
You know what, why don't you post your park? Then everyone can take a look at it in person and see how to do scales right.
It has been because it took me years to figure out the scales for that game and it has been haunting me until I found them with RCT2. Chris Sawyer may have just saved my life but he is the reason I almost died too.
And yet, another thing that drives me mad is because I have yet to see someone measure up to the guy who did the parks in the RCTDisneyland Timeline. I am not even with his level. But He designed the park so well with such limitations.
Another thing is that people criticise what I do, but then they never ever look through layers and notice anything. For example, when I did Space Mountain, that is all you are going to see from above. There is very little detail on the Entrance building. But for the Arcade, I have dled a bunch of fan scenery that would allow a very detailed and accurate design. I know have acess to quarter blocks and roof tiles of different degrees.
I can now make the curved roof...and such.
But another reason I don't like many people's designs is this too. Large buildings usually turn out very ugly. Take Space Mountain, many people build a large square when they could easily figure out the shape of the building using MS Paint. But if not, they could always use a giant Octagon like that one person did with his Disney, and I really like his design.
Here is another thing that bothers me. Trees. People often seem to place the same tree next to itself over and over again. Good for a tree farm but in the end it looks really unnatural... but it is just a pet peeve of mine.
Oh well.... I just want to know why Martin hates my Castle. I built what I envision exactly. A large glowing blue Castle that blends perfectly with the sky. Guests wont emmidiatly notice it unless they look for a while. Up near the castle, large flying buttresses travel down the castle like a Waterfall right down to the ground. And yet there is also the large resemblence of a Cathedral and not a Castle.
But Opinions are opinions unless you are trying to get the other person mad and only hate the stucture because you hate the person who built it.
