My own take on Mickey Avenue at DHS

Okay, I got it. I have two solutions:

Colour Scheme: What if opposed to the rainbow of colours, we narrow in down to darker tones, like Mickey's Toontown. This could lead to feeling less low rent.

Sizing: I think I understand the reason they sized the buildings like they did the photo: to make you feel like you were the size of a toon. I am unsure if this is reasonable, but if the buildings were bigger/taller like Mickey's Toontown, maybe this could help.

Yeah, I did mention Mickey's Toontown a lot, even though that's not what you're going for.

Did Toontown Fair ever use a rainbow of colors? And yes, the buildings will be a lot taller/bigger as in DL's Mickey's Toontown.

I sort of think so. Anyhow, upper-scale attractions could help, like a high-quality D-Ticket.

Well, some time ago, I created a thread about an idea for a Goofy dark ride: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/a-goofy-themed-dark-ride-with-no-place-for-it-to-go.856525/. One original concept of mine was to be a new version of the Roger Rabbit ride for a revised Mickey's Toontown Fair, so as to use a character that Disney actually 100% owns. Since then, however, I've had second thoughts about that particular ride, thinking it was too much like the Roger Rabbit ride. So I've been trying to come up with other dark ride concepts with Goofy to use. I kicked around various other concepts, such as "Goofy About Road Trips", which was to have been created for the California Adventure in a new section on CA car culture (before Cars Land came about instead). That kind of ride would never work in the Studios, I don't think.

The only thing I could think of is a redo of Superstar Limo at the California Adventure with Goofy as your chauffeur, which was actually also considered. It was to have been themed to Goofy's odd experiences in and around Hollywood.

I am thinking of doing something like this for Mickey Avenue, but the problem is, I'm not sure how well-received it might be, if the original ride's reception to guests was any indication. There is a review of it at Yesterland: http://yesterland.com/superstarlimo.html. Here's what it said on the negative reaction at the end: "Disney management closed the ride after less than one year. Reportedly, the typical guest reaction to the ride had been so negative that the park was actually stronger when the only dark ride in the park was closed."

So if the original Superstar Limo was so bad, I'm really not sure how a revised version would work. What do you think?

What do you think of the idea of a variation on Superstar Limo? I'm not really sure if it will work, if the ride's original form and closure are any indication.

Goofy as an chauffeur, if done right, could turn out alright. But as success as a ride, I don't know. It would be an awkward storyline, if we were to make it more like Superstar Limo. I do like Superstar Limo's idea, but we would need to act some tweaks to add Goofy and possibly the rest of the Fab Five.

It could be a trip through a Disney-type of Beverly Hills.

In this case, it's going to be new ones themed to Beverly Hills.

The problem is, if we did a Toon-like version of Beverly Hills for this dark ride, wouldn't that be confusing for those of us who know that Mickey and the gang live in Disneyland's Toontown?

I really can't do this alone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
