My New Toy... soon!

I'm excited... I just got off the phone with my uncle and he was asking me what I wanted for my birthday so I told him I was hoping for a tiny digicam.. and he asked me which one. I don't really need anything fancy, so I told him a Sony Cybershot U60.. and he said ok. He sent the money out today for it.. i'm friggin excited.

It's tiny... only 2mp (which is fine for me.. I don't plan on printing out anything larger than a 5X7 anyway... mainly email/web), and it's waterproof... for surfing!

The check should arrive tomorrow, and then I'll run to Best Buy and special order it. I love toys.. lol

thanks! I was thinking of a little Cybershot P series.. the 3.2mp with MPEG movie.. but ultimately, I want a camera that I can beat up and not worry much about it.. which the U60 is. I have access to Canon S400 and a G5 is I need any more than that. My next Camera is more than likely going to be a Sony P8 or P10... I already own 2 128mb memory sticks, and a 16 mb (plus the 8 mb it comes with), so I'd like to keep with Sony... even though my favorite is a Canon.

well... time for an update. I am searching all over for a retailer that carries the case for the Sony LCSCSB Carrying case for it in Orlando. The only one I've found locally is World of Electronics in the Florida Mall, which is notorious for jacking up their prices (ex. World of Electronics is charging $50 more for the camera than every other store I've looked at)

I'm also probably going to pick up a memory stick wallet to keep my collection of sony memory sticks stored.. lol. After this camera, I'm up to 3 memory sticks.. 5 if I can ever get back my Palm Pilot.

time for another update. The Fedex man came and left. I questioned him and nada. So I called my uncles office to get the tracking number... and the package is.. LATE! Oh well... Fedex said it should be here monday at the latest. There were only 7 of these cameras left in the Best Buy warehouse when I last checked... i'm gonna check again today. Hopefully they're not all gone.

alrighty... update time! The check arrived this morning at 8:42 am (ironically, the same time as every other Fedex package... I think my local Fedex man controls time). Deposited it at 11 (thank you Washington Mutual girl! She always clears my checks rather than putting a hold on them), and ordered it at 12 noon. The camera should be here by XMas eve... hopefully sooner.

but I managed to still buy a little toy while I was there. They had the Sprint PCS cameras for the Samsung N400 and A500 on sale for $5 so I bought one. That should hold me over till my next toy arrives.

the camera was supposed to arrive today, well it's late. It'll be here X-Mas eve... or so they say. Well.. I went to another store and took some sample shots on theirs. Not too shabby for 2MP:
