How did they notify you that you were selected? Very curious!

We actually just got an email saying that we were selected. We are staying at the AKL and I heard they are picking people that are stayin there and the Contemporary to test.
I actually called Disney and asked them my question.
They said we get 3 Fastpass+ in 1 park per day. And no paper fast passes on top of it. So I you park hop, you're screwed and have to wait in standby for everything. I don't understand why it's only 3 and why you can't use them at multiple parks. Kinda stinks. We actually might not test it. It's gonna to be so crowded when we go and I kinda don't want to give up more than 3 fast passes.

See my response above We might not test it cause it kinda stinks. It discourages park hopping in my opinion and we are going at a very busy time when fast passes are key and you can only have 3 per day.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Fastpass+ lets you choose when you skip ahead of time? I can understand this limiting your flexibility but it would be interesting to test out

If we park hop we probably use 5-6 per day. I would love to test it out if we're going during a non-busy season, but the end of June is packed and with 2 little kids we need as many fast passes as possible.

We are staying at the Contemporary in September so if they haven't rolled it out by then maybe we will get chosen. I understand your hesitation completely. We tend not to hop except in the later evening and aren't huge FP users BC we tend to go at slow times.

Ah ok I can absolutely understand especially with kids.
Does anyone know if the fastpass + works for your whole party?

Unless you are a frequent Disney visitor, do NOT serve as a tester for the system. It doesn't work right yet, even at best, and if you go at peak, you absolutely do not want to be testing the FP+ system and not getting the full use of your fastpasses in all of the parks. I just tested it two weeks ago and there were problems with every single one of the "reservations" though they didn't much care and just waved you on in anyway. Don't mess with this until the bugs are worked out.
