I see so many horror stories about other's experiences when needing to cancel a trip particularly if its after final payment.
I was supposed to be in WDW this week but due to my mom's rapid onset of aggressive Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and the complications that came with it we were on the fence about going but it was the day before final payment and we did not have more answers until 2 days after final payment date so we decided to just pay and see what happened.
Since then things have been an up and down roller coaster of don't worry its fine to go and no you probably shouldn't.
Ultimately 72 hours out we decided it would be best to stay home .
We had paid with 3 different credit cards as it was 3 people going and each paying their portion.
We called to cancel just to get clarification on a few things.
We lost the $200 deposit but we knew we would so no surprise.
Cancelled on Friday the 19th and the charges were reversed from all 3 credit cards today Wednesday the 24th.
The process was painless.
Not sure when I'm going to be able to go back. Love going in late August but don't want to wait that long lol.
In the meantime I'll be using those funds to get my kittens spayed.
