My interview for P/T security is Monday!

I applied for P/T Security on Jan 21st, completed my 'online interview' on the 25th & I'm scheduled for my in-person interview this Monday, 01/31/2011

I'm pretty excited

My wife started earlier this month, taking her Traditions class January 5th.

There's a Disney security class that starts February 3rd, I hope I'm scheduled for that one, assuming I get the job of course

[UPDATE]

I got my FL Driver's License (required for Disney Security positions) & was scheduled in yesterday (Wednesday, Feb 9th) for my 'paperwork appointment'. I filled out several pages of paperwork, including the IRS I-9 form & signed several more pages for a background check & acknowledgement of policies & rules, etc.

I was also fingerprinted using a really neat electronic fingerprint system that would sure have made my job easier back in my police officer days

The appointment lasted about an hour.

I'm scheduled for the Disney Traditions Class March 1st, then the Disney Security training the following Monday, March 7th. I can't wait!

On my paperwork it actually said part time security/host/greeter, or something similar.

I think being local makes a big difference.

I use a Jacksonville, FL address. (family) Doesn't seen to help, and a CM is listed in my profile with them.

I think by local they mean driving distance to the parks.

I get the impression that if you have an Orlando address & no other precluding factors in your application, you get an online interview eventually.

My daughter, for example, got through to the in-person interview, but they didn't have a job for her & still have not called & it's been over a month. This even though the Disney recruiter really liked her & said she would be a great addition to the Disney team, or words to that effect.
