My guinea pig just....

I've been sitting here playing Live365 and was playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, so there's a lot of sounds going on. I thought someone was throwing stuff at my window or it was just really windy out (we have a tornado watch, go figure after all the cold we've had here in northern IL) and I was hearing the tree outside my window blow around. Then I thought about my brothers making noise in the house....until I looked over at Truffles, my guinea pig. She was looking up right at me and opened her mouth as if she was going to yawn and just let it out. She's been farting this whole time and it doesn't smell that great, but it could be worse. :lookaroun


She's the cutest little thing. She runs around, eats, sneezes, drinks and sleeps. And of course her little squeel she has is cute too. This was the first time I had ever heard her fart, let alone about 5 times in less than 5 minutes.

edit: As soon as I posted this she did it two more times. I'm leaving for now, hopefully she'll be better when I get home tonight! :lol:

I am just happy you didn't finish the stentance with something bad like died or got lost!

I had gerbils when I was a kid. I had 2 boys and one died after a year. I was 10 years old and it was heart breaking. My whole family was sitting around the dinner table crying. and my dad laughs and said we are crying of a dead rat!!!!! (mostly they were all sad because I was, empathy and all.)

Well anyway we got a new one, but it had to be a girl so they wouldn't fight. One year later we had 21 gerbils. I don't want to know what my dad did with all of them. He said he gave them to a friend who was a teacher, but not little kids, biologoy, that is what scared me. :lol:

BTW when baby PhD lets one ripe you can hear it in the next room (and it is time for a new nappie!)

lmao that is too funny! I love guinea pigs! my first was Rodney (named after Rodney on Dr. Dolittle...around the same time the movie came out I got a guinea pig..then another...then another....) Its funny to hear a chihuahua fart too. Noel will fart and walk away with a smirk on her face lol. Boo has never farted in my presense (unless it was silent) he does burp though

(Boo will be 4 tomorrow!! Happy birthday Boo-Boo :sohappy: )

As far as her diet, she eats the little pellets that I've always fed her and my previous two guinea pigs from when I was little. I got her a new bag of food that she'll start today and it has garden vegetables in it, so I'm hoping she likes it. It still cracks me up the way she looked at me and then would just let it out...and did that multiple times. I'll see what she has iin store today when I get off work.

SirNim, when I was on the phone with an apartment complex in Orlando that I'm looking into, they asked me if I was taking any pets. I told them that I'll be taking my little guinea pig and the lady on the phone with me (sounded like she was in her 20's or so) said "Awwww, that's so cute!"

People make it seem like only girls can have guine pigs, but I love her and don't care what people think of me! I love animals and am proud to say that I have one.

Get a guinea pig or chichilla. I loved working with chinchillas at the zoo, they are really soft and cuddly. Guinea pigs take little to take care of and are always fun to hold and cuddle with. They are really calm and can help you relax too. I personally think chihuahuas have an annoying "bark" if that's what it's called, or a yipe. They're also too small to be a dog. :lol:

I got a chinchilla too! :sohappy: Look through my photo album to see Stitch (my chin) The link is in my signature I have a zoo lol I have a chihuahua. She is on bed rest again because she hurt her leg this morning in the back yard. Same leg as last time. Damn fragile legs. Gave her her Metacam and now she is moping on the sofa with her stuffed doggy and bear.

Give it a diaper so it doesn't throw feces I'm sure you'll be fine. I wonder if your complex allows them, if they do I'm getting one! It can ride on Speck....wouldn't that be hilarious?

She would probably try to eat it....she really likes the taste of other animals.
