Trip Report My First Trip Report-Be Kind!! :-)

So, as the title suggests this is my very first trip report, but not my first Disney trip! This will be my 6th trip to the World and 7th to Orlando. So without further ado let me introduce the cast...

First up theres me, Katie. I love Disney (obviously!), taking photos and my favourite character is Belle.



Next is my Boyfriend Mike, this will be his very first trip to Disney, Florida and the USA



Then there is my sister Laura (right) and my stepsister Chloe (left, purple hair). Laura has been to disney the same amount of time as me and Clo has been twice before ,we all have very happy memories of visiting together when we were little. These are the two crazier ones they much prefer running to each ride than taking the time to take everything in like me!



Lastly there is my Dad Phil, Karen my step mum and my half brother Ryan, yeah this family gets a little confusing! This will be their 3rd time to Disney, one of the big reasons for this trip is because Ryan is now the perfect age for experiencing the parks, he doesn't really remember the last two times as he was pretty small! Yes!..no child swaps for us this trip!!



Right, I think a little bit more background information might be required. This isn't just a Disney World Holiday ( or Vacation ). We are starting our trip in Orlando, staying 3 days and doing a park each day, then we drive down to Fort Lauderdale and catch a cruise! We go sailing around the Caribbean for 6 days then its back to Orlando to do one more Disney park and Universal and IOA! Woah! We were in for a packed two weeks.

The Cruise we went on wasn't a Disney cruise, it was with Carnival. So I wasn't planning on doing a full report for each day of the cruise, I might just include a few of the best photos so you guys can get an idea?! But if you do want me to do the daily reports I would be more than happy to, just let me know!

Also a quick disclaimer, this trip happened a while ago- January 2nd to January 15th. I wasn't planning on doing a TR but I must be having disney withdrawal or something i've been reading so many of these lately, so I thought I might as well join in!

After the parade we fought through the crowds to get back to Fantasyland to use our FP's for The Little Mermaid ride, which I really liked, the animatronics were so good. Although I wouldn't have wanted to wait 90 minutes for it!

Then my Dad ran off to get us all a FP for Space Mountain, while we headed over to Adventureland to meet him at POTC. I think this was the longest wait we had all day, about 45 minutes, and at this point we were all starting to feel the jet lag, starting to get hungry, our feet were hurting and it was so hot in the line! Thank god for those water fountains!



However we enjoyed the ride when we got there, and after decided to go our separate ways and meet up at Space Mountain later. Mike and I went for a wander around the park, I felt like I hadn't taken enough photos with the busy day we'd had. And the others went off to do a few more rides.

We had such a nice time just walking around, getting to take in everything there was to see, and finally getting the time to take some photos! yay!









I've got to say The Magic Kingdom does Christmas decorations very well! Saying that, I wouldn't expect anything less!





By this time we were really hungry! So we went to Pinocchio's Village Haus to grab a quick bite to eat. And out of all of the people in the MK who do we bumb into!?? Yep, the rest of our family! haha it's a small world Its a good job too as they told us they had got FP's for all of us for Jungle Cruise! We both had the Caprese Flatbread and fries, which were really good. Although I think pretty much anything would have tasted good at that point! So we quickly ate and headed back outside again, and it was dark! I don't know if its just me but I feel like the MK really comes alive at night time, it just felt extra magical walking around with Mike, with all the lights and the music, it was just perfect.





We had lost the others again and decided to go and look in a few shops as Mike was determined to buy me a tiara so I could be a Princess

Mike wanted to be a princess for a minute too!





So one tiara later, we walked back to Adventureland to catch our first cruise of the holiday! It started raining! But luckily we are from England and are therefore always prepared for such weather!



After the jungle cruise it was time for the electrical parade, by the time we had got back to the castle to watch it was already so busy, so we watched over peoples heads and took some more photos by the castle in the rain! I like how the rain almost looks like snow












So after the parade we ran over to space mountain so we could ride it before Wishes fireworks started at 9. This was going to be Ryan's first 'proper' ride so he was a little scared but we thought he would enjoy it. (I think we forgot how fast it was!) He got bullied on to going on a lot of rides this holiday! We flew through the queue and were standing waiting for the ride when everything just shut down! Couldn't believe it! Apparently someone had lost their wallet on the ride and it had to be stopped so one of the cast members could go and retrieve it for her, we must have been waiting for 15 minutes. Silly woman! As we were standing there I just knew Wishes had started and we were missing it Wishes was one of my number one things I wanted mike to experience at Disney. Just because every time we see a firework display at home I say to him "this is nothing compared to Disney!" But we missed it, it was completely over by the time we got out, we did enjoy space mountain tho, except from Ryan, oops!

So this is where we ended the first day of our holiday, we were tired, we had sore feet, we had scared Ryan silly on SM, but it was all worth it, we had an amazing day and to be honest I could have stayed for another couple of hours!

This was the sight of Tomorrowland Speedway on the way out, still gridlocked!!
