I would either add an extra day for the parks or go sight-seeing. You could rent a car and head to LA or San Diego. I know you're doing a tour in LA but there are many things to see and do on your own in Los Angeles. I could give you a list of things to do. Same goes for San Diego, though it's a far drive (2 hours). San Diego is really pretty. You could go to Santa Barbara, another fun and pretty city.

What's your opinion on doing 1/2 a day at DL or DCA and then going sight-seeing? Debi mentioned going to see star's houses? I've never been to CA before but I can bring a GPS with me if we decide to rent a car.

Where do you want to sightsee? Because Anaheim is abit far out from HollyWood or San Diego.

I think that's a good idea. LA and Hollywood is not far from Anaheim. If you do decide that's what you want to do, I would hit up LA first, then drive back to Anaheim for Disneyland in the evening.

Definitely! You're best off beating the morning traffic (head up either really early or at the tail-end of the morning rush), then do the Hollywood/Beverly Hills sightseeing, then back to DL in the evening as @raven24 suggested.

We "officially" decided to drop Universal Studios and add a 5th day to our park-hoppers.

I'm just worried about getting "sick" of DL with 5 days...

We figure we can play it by ear that way and if something piques our interest, we can always either rent a car for the day, or grab a GreyLine tour bus.

You should be able to see everything in five days. Take it slow and it won't feel like you're repeating yourself. Remember, the DLR only has maybe ten less rides/attractions than all of WDW. I don't think you'll get tired of it, especially if you decide to do everything in both parks.

Unless you ride every ride/see every show once and only once on all of your WDW trips, you'll stay plenty busy with five days at DLR.
