1)Whispering Canyoin -Dinner
2)LTT-Dinner
3)Chief Mickeys- Breakfest
4)Rose and Crown-Dinner (try and book during illuminations even though i know there in no guarentee)
5)50's prime time-Lunch
6)Coral Reefe-Lunch ( ive heard mixed reviews about the food but i know mom would love the tanks)
7)Crystal Palace-Breakfest

Then for counter service not to miss:
Peco Bills

As for the rest they will probally be for breakfest in the food court, on days we have reservations for dinner so we can just snack throughout the day :)

Excellent choices!!! We never had a bad experience at any of these places. We never plan out counter service places, we just eat where ever is the closest when we get hungry. Just be aware that Pinochio's is extrememly busy at peak lunch and dinner times. If you have your heart set on eating here go early or late.

Being new to the board I have searched and can't find the answer to this question. So I thought I'd try it here. (not knowing where else to put it.)
Recently, I saw a show on the travel channel about the Disney cruise ships. On one of the ships they have a restuarant where the walls start out black and white. During your dinner the walls and paintings slowly turn to color.
I thought I read on this site that WDW has a place like this but I can't find where I read it. I'm I correct? If so, whats the name and where is it? I think it would be a great experience.

Looks like I got ahead of myself. I found the restuarant on the ship. It's called, 'Animators Palate.' Still checking if WDW has one. Anyone know? I'll post if I find out.

Nothing in WDW like Animator's Pallate. BUt don't worry, there are lots of entertaining places to eat while you're there. Definitely do the Rose & Crown for Illuminations, just be aware that viewing tables are first come, first served. We had a table inside, but the hostess escorted us to a roped-off viewing area for the show, which was fantastic. We also liked the Irish music at Raglan Road, and had a really good time at Biergarten in Epcot.

Our Favorites for Food!

This coming trip (2/9-2/12) we'll be trying a few new spots....Sci-Fi Dine-In, Gulliver's Grill, House of Blues, Spoodles, Coral Reef, Alfredo's and Goofy's Breakfast at Beach Club.

Our regular spots are Crystal Palace, Le Celllier Steakhouse, Brown Derby 1900 Park Fare breakfast, Garden Grill, Cinderella's Castle and love Boma's at AKL too. Despite the costs for sit down meals, we use the time to rest & regroup for more Disney fun!:sohappy:

Thanks for the info Tiggerfanatic. To bad there's not one at WDW. Now if I can only get the rest of my group to agree to 'Rose & Crown'. That would be a great way to watch the show. One of my personal favorites is 'Sci-fi Drive-in'. Not the best food in the park but the fun, unique atmosphere makes up for it. Of course, the Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake at the Brown Derby has become a staple with me.

Fav places to eat.

I think my favorite sit down place for dinner is definitly Cape May Cafe. You have to roll my mom and I out of there we eat so much! I love the fact that they have a land lovers side as well as seafood. Their desserts are fantastic and they have a kids section with all the typicals like chicken fingers and what not. Plus my daughter LOVES to color on the table cloth!

When it comes to fast dining, it gets a little tricky! For the longest time, my favorite place was the Columbia Harbor House. They have the greatest soup in the giant bread bowls!!! Two years ago, however, we snuck into Cosmic Ray's Starlite Cafe, just to see what it was about. Since then, it's been my favorite! Three different menu types to choose from, fabulous food and the greatest atmosphere!!! We usually like to go right around dusk, when it's just starting to get dark outside.

Although the Earl of Sandwich is to die for too!!!!!

I'm such a food person!
