I didn't know where to post this but I had to share! My 21st birthday was yesterday, I received a lot of gifts from friends and family. They know I am planning my next WDW trip right now so I got a some Disney snow globes and almost 500 dollars to put towards my trip!! One step closer to my vacation! I also got my free disney planning video, I haven't had to time to watch it but its just one more thing to get my boyfriend and I pumped for our trip! With the extra birthday money I will probably have much more spending money than I thought, any suggestions on things to do that aren't included with our stay at the resort and the dining plan? Has anyone ever done the air ballon at DTD?

Happy Birthday fellow March baby!!!!! Mine is the 6th! Never have done the balloon but there are so many wonderful options, a tour, a delicious dinner at one of the signature restaurants or a fireworks cruise for either Wishes or Illuminations.

depending on how "seasoned" you really are after 21 I had fun "drinking around the world" at Epcot, stopping at each country woth a local specialty. if you are a lightweight ( or could potentially annoy other guests after one to many), you may want to perhaps go to every other country and maybe share cheap snacks at the others to sort of complete the circuit.

another fun thing they had when I went was a tour of animal kingdom behind the scenes, if they still have it it may be a chance for some amazing sights you otherwise wouldn't get to see up close. (when I went I was actually able to pet a rhino, which still amazes me all the time)

Unexpected money...:) always a great thing... Treat yourself to something you havent done or wouldnt do. Add the Keys to the Kingdom Tour? Or Hoop De Doo Review? Or ADR to a restauraunt you have always wanted to try but because of the cost havent. Or buy a special souvenir to bring home. The options are endless.

Since you're going to be in Orlando anyway, why not check out non-Disney things around the area? *gasp*

I've never done the hot air balloon in DTD cause it's overpriced and it's only airborne for a few minutes. I think it's $18 per adult.

Money is easy to burn... especially in Orlando. I'd probably take the extra $$$ and go skydiving since I've never been before.

But for my 21st, I'm going on a Disney cruise with my friends :D Can't wait!!!

Balloon ride, park tours, extra special dining, buying some more expensive merchandise, taking an excurions out of Disney into real Florida or to Uni, Space Center etc There's lots you can do :)

Happy Birthday to YOU!!

Treat yourself to something you would never typically buy for yourself. A piece of jewlery or art?
