*here's my daughter on her first trip at 14 months*
The Crew: We're a group of 8 traveling from Massachusetts. We have me, my husband, my daughter (will almost be 3), my best friend, my sister in law, nephew (8), and another couple.
This trip was kind of un planned, but after the following series of events happened, it made this trip a no brainier for us.1. I received a $300 airline voucher. 2. My best friend has never been, but has always wanted to. She's also in the Military so all of those perks made this trip more in our budget. And 3. My brother in law passed away a couple weeks prior to booking this trip so we were all in a "life is short" state of mind. We had taken our first family vacation with his family and my (parent) in laws last March (2015) and had a blast. When we got home, my brother in law had said how much he wanted to go back in October and see all of the Halloween festivities. All that said, we're going In October and staying at Shades of Green for 5 nights.
Now for everyone's "Disney expirence level"....yea, I made that up
-My daughter, nephew and sister in law have been once on our family trip in 2015.
-My husband has been 3 times with me...he knows the lay of land, but isn't really an enthusiast. His favorite is Epcot, so he can drink around the world. I'm trying to sell him on DVC, so I've booked many dinners at deluxe resorts...so what if I have ulterior motives!
- My bestie has never been and is super excited about it. I'm trying to turn her into a lover.
- The other couple coming will be my biggest challenge. They're our really close friends. Last year they visited universal and are head over heels about it. They took one day of their time and went to Disney for the day and visited 3 parks. That said, they didn't get to spend too much time and we're not able to get on many rides cause they did no planning. Anyways, I invited them to come along and shared that I had an itinerary already in place. Well, the husband was all about it! He was like you already planned everything out and I don't have to do anything? We're In! Wish me luck on converting these 2!
-and me....I've been 5 times in the past 6 or 7 years and am hooked. I've been 3 times for work and luckily I work with some other Disney fans/AP holders that visit the park every time we visit our Orlando office.
So far, I have shuttles planned, dining reservations made, shades of green booked, flights booked and Disney Tickets bought.
Next up: I'll share my dining reservations and parks of the day.
