Sounds like you'll be down our way, maybe down in the Valley?

Eddie Garrison, I really appreciate what you're doing, showing us all the pictures and reviewing the F&W festival offerings. Thanks to you, I'm especially looking forward to that stew in Scotland!

You are very welcome! I enjoy sharing any information and insights I can offer to those not able to be here as much as we are or those that are heading down soon.

The stew was good! And as I said, it's by far the largest portion at Food & Wine I have seen yet.

I love this thread, thanks for posting.

Those portions sure are small, but I bet they add up.

Those little cardboard food holders look so flimsy though. Do they collapse halfway through the meal? Guess I'll find out on November.

;)

Thanks! I'll be posting more this week as we're heading out there either tomorrow or Thursday.

Yeah, the boats can be a little flimsy but they stay together long enough to eat the samples.

Even with the stew from Scotland it was ok.

May I ask, how does the Food and Wine festival "work"? Is it like the Food and Garden festival where you go up to booths and buy snacks separately, or is it a ticketed event on top of admission like MNSSHP?

The former. The festival runs the full park hours every day, you just pay for whatever items you want to buy at the booths. The nightly concerts are also free. There are also a number of upcharge activities in various price ranges.

Great, thank you!

I really enjoyed Food and Garden this year and I was thinking of visiting during Food and Wine next year.

Eddie I hope you don't mind my tagging along. We were at F&W today too.

Chicken Gyro, Greece

Nice blend of flavors, fresh pita. Hubby's fave!

Cheddar Cheese Soup with pretzel bread
Wild Mushroom Filet (Canada)
IMG_4206.JPG

Soup was hot and had a little zing to it. Pretzel bread dipped in soup was yummy. Filet was extremely tender. Mushrooms added great flavor.

Beer Brasied Beef, Belgium
Pale Ale
IMG_4208.JPG

Beef was savory and fork tender. Smoked Gouda mashed potatoes great accompaniment to the beef.

Kefta Pocket (top)
Spicy Hummus Fries, Morocco

The kefta pocket was a hearty size and filling. The Spicy Hummus Fries were more flavorful than hot, and were my fave!

So, what you're saying is that I will be dying of a heart attack one month from now? ;) Kidding. This all looks delicious, and I can't wait to try almost all of this! Thanks for posting!

Ricotta and Zucchini Ravioli
Peanut Butter White Chocolate Mousse
The Chew Collective

Tomato sauce very light, not heavy. Fresh tasting.
Hubby said mousse was fantastic!

Pork Tenderloin, Wine and Dine
IMG_4079.JPG

Most of the flavor in this dish is from the cannellini beans. If you like cannellini beans, this one's for you!

Beef Skewer, Patagonia
IMG_4080.JPG

Very, very good. Chimichurri sauce paired well with both beef and Bonita (potato-esque)

Loaded Mac and Cheese, Farm Fresh

Picture speaks for itself! It did have a kick to it though ~ kids may find it "too spicy."

Butter Chicken, Africa

Usually I love this (I am a big fan of cilantro) but the Naan was stale...hard as a rock...inedible.

Thank you for uploading all these photos. My first trip is going to be next year in September and I really hope that the food is as good as it looks this year. When I told my hubs that we might be there during Food & Wine time, he got really excited about the visit. (He's way less of a Disney fan than I am.)

Quick question, though: If you did nothing but the food kiosks (and restroom breaks & a 15 min. get out of the sun/rain/recharge the phone break in the Chase lounge), how long do you think it would take you go to most if not all of them? I'm trying to figure out if I need to allocate a whole separate day to just Food & Wine stuff and we have only 5 full days in the World.

I'll do half a day at other parks then go to F&W and finish the day. With that schedule at least two days. You could do your must-haves in a day.

Thanks for mentioning the chicken gyro. I was looking forward to it, but I read elsewhere that it wasn't very good. Now I think I'll try it anyways. Did you try the chocolate creme brûlée in Mexico (I forget exactly what it's called-Abuelita?) If so, how was it?
