Very different from the typical Disney show I'm used to.

It features ALOT more fireworks than Fantasy, longer, not as loud (since not all the shells are huge blasts) and new tricks/techniques to shooting off the fireworks as well. They come from behind the castle, & both sides. Part of Fantasyland is closed (Ariel's Grotto, castle and part of Liberty Square due to the launch sites).

Alot of these new techniques are really cool and DIFFERENT. Also, the main thing that was different for me was the music/narration. It is not your typical uplifting stirring melody like Illuminations or Fantasy. Here it's more Jimny Cricket talking, bunch of kids talking to mellow, serene type music. To be brutally honest, I was expecting to be blown away from the get go (I have insanely high hopes for everything) and the first few minutes I started
to panic and think, "this is it?". But the pace picked up and I enjoyed it. More than likely I will like it even more after each viewing once I get used to the pacing & song. Most people go bonkers after 1 viewing, I usually need repeat visits for something to 'soak in'.

Don't view this as a letdown, since there is sooooo much more eye candy to this show as compared to Fantasy in the Sky, which was firework after firework in the same spot. Granted, I don't think anything comes close to Illuminations or ever will, as that music is easily the best thing I've heard in my life.

I thought it was great. Some of the different types of launches, as I remember, are those white parallel synchronized streamers from the sides. I watched the show from in front of the Crystal Palace, and I saw the fireworks going off to the left of the castle from my vantage point. From where did you view it?

Before the fireworks began I talked with a young CM who said he never gets tired of seeing this new show. I said the audio could be better because I was hearing the pre-show announcements from a couple of different places and they overlapped and were hard to understand. He agreed and said it was because we were in between lands. If or when I go again, I might try a little ways to the right or left of where I was to get a clearer audio. The fireworks were amazing. Simply outstanding. :sohappy:

It must be nice for you to get to see such powerful displays of light and sound so often. I did get to Wishes and Illuminations on consecutive nights. What an entertaining way to round out a WDW vacation! :)

Yeah it's a huge perk and the reason why I wanted to move here (not jsut for fireworks but the whole deal)

We watched it from the front of Town Square, where it meets Main Street. Going to view it by Tomorrowland next time, rigyht where Tinkerbell flys over for you :-)
