My family has been to Disney numerous times over the past few years, but never at Christmas...which we will be doing this year:xmas:! I have read about the MVMCP...for those who have attended, is it worth it? On the surface, it seems like you are paying $50 extra bucks for hot chocolate and cookies. Maybe there is more to it than that; I'm sure there is. Anyway, and advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

We've gone for the past 2 years and we love it! It's not just the hot chocolate and cookies, tho they are a plus!, it's seeing the characters you wouldn't normally see. We got to meet Rabbit last year which was very exciting for me! It's all in how you look at it. There are special parades and fireworks. It's a different feel then going on a normal day. It's really whether you want to spend the money. We always do! :D

We went last year and lOVED it. The Chritsmas parade and snow on Main Street was enough to justify the price to me! I wish we could go again this year. You really should try it!:xmas:

we went last dec and never regretted it, in fact we booked tickets to go again 2 days later, wishes was on as normal every day as well as spectro magic but once the normal guests had gone (on mvmcp days) they also did the special 180 degrees firework display later on the evening after the special Christmas parade show, we found the 2 discos where great for the kids as the characters interacted so much dancing with the kids (which you don't normal get and had so much time with the characters unlike the normal meet and great where all they get is a quick hug and photo) we had to drag our kids away from the disco's lol.

cookies and hot chocolate was a nice free treat we must have had $100 worth lol, rides were low waiting most we just walked straight on.

the snow in main street was like wow and remember you can save a bit if you book online
overall a great night

IMHO, it is absolutely worth it!

The parade and fireworks can't even be described....they are the best I have ever seen. There are characters, floats etc in the parade that you will not see elsewhere. Plus, I saw characters out before the parade interacting with kids and playing games.....and CMs had all kinds of activities for kids to do while we were waiting.

Lines for characters were not long, except for Beauty and the Beast. I saw a group of penguins with no wait at all.

Most rides were walk-on at some point. Some of the rides in fantasy Land had a wait in the beginning but then it slowed down.

I would love to go again some year!

I went last year for the first time and LOVED it! I have tickets to go again this year on my trip. I loved the Christmas parade, the holiday shows, hot cocoa - EVERYTHING! The best was the holiday version of Wishes. My sister was in complete amazement with that show. As for rare characters - we did seek out a lot - we did stumble across Belle with the Beast dressed in their holiday best, Snow White and Prince Charming, and Scrooge McDuck at Donald's tree farm. I hope you decide to go - you won't regret it! :xmas:
