MVMCP ticket question...

Hey all! Looked for others threads for this but wasn't able to find anything on it. We're going to WDW 11/10-11/15 and we're planning on getting MVMCP tickets for the night of the 11th (Friday) It's Veterans Day so does anyone have any past experience going to MVMCP on this weekend and if so, how busy was it? I know Veterans Day always falls on the 11th so sometimes it falls mid-week but this year it's a Friday. We also have the option of waiting and going the night of the 13th which is a Sunday. Any suggestions which night might be better?

Also, I've been to WDW during Thanksgiving week twice and both times the holiday decorations were all up in the parks and resorts and they were beautiful!! Will all the parks and resorts be fully decorated by the time we get there on the 11th? My sister has never been during Christmas so I'm hoping everything will all be done up by then! thanks for any info ya'll!!

It's really hard to predict MVMCP crowds. Some nights you wouldn't expect are packed, others are not. If you look on the website and see discounts, those are historically dates that haven't sold out. I honestly don't think the party sells that well overall. We go every year and have never had to deal with crowds like the onse at MNSSHP. Master Yoda is right, Fridays and Saturdays tend to be busier, but that early in the season, you will probably be okay.

My husband and I visited WDW Nov. 13-20 last year. Park crowds were minimal. The castle lighting ceremony was at 6:15 pm each night. MK was decorated for Christmas with the exception of the tree (which is put up after the Christmas special taping in early December.) We did not attend MVMCP but can't imagine it being too crowded based on our daytime park experiences.

Epcot was still decorated for the Food and Wine Festival but the tree was up. "Holidays Around the World" at Epcot did not begin until the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas trees were at DHS and AK also and DHS featured the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights nightly.

The Grand Floridian was decorated for the holidays and the gingerbread house was on display and open for business. The other resort hotels were not yet decorated; cast members said they were done on a rotating basis. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge and when we awakened on Nov.19th the resort had been "magically transformed" with festive holiday decor overnight. That was a neat experience.

So you and your sister should get to experience some Christmas at WDW during your trip. Have fun!
