MVMCP Ticket Entry

We are planning to attend MVMCP on our arrival day, November 18th. We aren't planning to go to the MK until 4:00 so we'll use our event tickets to get in. We have 6 day park tickets for the rest of our trip.

We booked two FP+ reservations for Splash and Space for 4:00 and 5:00 PM. I know we'll need our Magic Bands for those, but I'm concerned about the accidental use of one day of our park tickets for the party. I was thinking of just having our Magic Bands in our pockets and not putting them on until after we enter the park to help ensure the non issue of a park day ticket. Are my fears unfounded? We've not gone to a special ticketed event before, and I didn't know if they made you scan anything at the gate other than your event ticket when we enter. Thanks for any help!

Let me ease your mind. I had the exact same concern last year for the Halloween party, but there's certain areas you will scan your magic band for the xmas party. The system really is that smart to tell the difference. You'll see an entrance turnstile area for regular park guest..then you will see an area with cast members dressed up for the event and they will have the correct turnstile for you to scan your magicband and will show you where to get your party bracelet. Your FP will also be fine. Those are just based off of your MDE account that's linked to your magic band. Hope this helps, but trust me, the system really does know the difference when you arrive to the party!

Good question and unfortunately I don't know the answer for certain...but I would imagine that your Magic Bands won't work for the FP+ unless they were used for entry as one of your 6-day park tickets. Pretty certain that MVMCP and other even tickets don't get FP+ (they aren't available during the event). Will be interested to see what those more in the know have to say about your question.

No the party tickets do allow FP's from 4-7pm being the ticket allows entry at 4pm. You just can't do FP's during the actual party hours.
You do not need to use a regular entry ticket to do FP's from 4-7pm on party nights if you have a party ticket. :)

I didn't realize the MVMCP party ticket gave you access to the park as early as 4pm. I assume it is the same for the MNSCHP? Have to file that little tidbit away for future trip planning... :D

Thanks for the info! I didn't realize they actually scan your Magic Band for entrance to the party. I thought they would just scan the paper tickets that we printed from the confirmation e-mail we received after purchasing tickets. We can't wait to get there!
