MVMCP Question

Hey guys - it's our first time to Disney in over 10 years - we're heading there the week after Thanksgiving and decided to get Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets for November 30th. We just received our "tickets" in the mail. They look just like our regular park tickets (except they obviously say MVMCP on the back) - I Was a little confused, though - I had thought we we're going to be getting wrist bands? I had been reading about people getting wristbands for the event...do we just present our ticket when we arrive in the morning for the band or our we going to have to show someone our ticket throughout the party to show we belong?

Might be a dumb question just trying to have everything figured out before we get there - no surprises! (At least not those kind)

You can take your ticket to the party beginning at 4 PM the day of the party and receive your wrist bands (these are not Magic Bands). The party begins at 7 PM and everyone in the park NOT going to the party (ie not wearing the party wrist band) will be nicely escorted out by 7 PM.
NOTE, the line to check in will be long at 4PM. The benefit most take advantage of is that with going into the park early, they don't use a normal ticket for that day. Instead go do something else, like resort hop or DTD until the party and you will have an extra day on your Magic Your Way ticket

We never go to MK on a party day until the 4 PM mark. We spend the first part of a party day at the resort, shopping, relaxing, eating. We always eat a good meal before going to the party, then we can spend the evening enjoying the rides and such without feeling terribly hungry.

I'm gonna be there on Dec 4th for the party. Gonna do the mk in the day and maybe see the resorts decorated and then do dinner at crystal palace around 430 and afterwards get the wristbands for the party that night.
