MVMCP and FP+

I just had a friend ask me a question that stumped me - I'm sure one of you knows the answer. Is it possible to plan fastpasses for during the Christmas Party? I'm inclined to say no since they clear the parks except for those with tickets, but wanted to confirm before I give out the wrong information. Having never been to it before, I haven't the foggiest!

I went to the MNSSHP in September. I think it would be the same rules. I went on the rides while everyone else was lined up to watch the parade and fireworks. Walked on to just about every ride.

I was able to book FP+ for the hours btwn 4-7pm, when you can be in the park but party hasn't started. That was just with MVMCP tix, not park tickets for that day. Hope this wasn't just a fluke or flaw with MDE... but that's what it let me do.

This is exactly how u do it and is allowed. With a party ticket u can get into the park starting at 4pm. You are able to make FP selections from 4-7pm, however, FP+ will only see that u have a ticket linked and will actually generate times for you all day, even before you are allowed in the park. It is up to you to pick your 3 rides, and then change the times to reflect the 4-7pm time slots.

Thanks for the confirmation! :)

Yes the party ticket is considered valid park admission for the day. The restriction, obviously, is that you can't enter the park until 4pm. But you could schedule all three FPs before 4pm, not that you could use them.

I am going to MVMCP on December 5 and was able to schedule FP for that day. Mine is scheduled at 5:10 for Peter Pan's Flight. DD loves that ride and will wait an ungodly amount of time for it. To me it seems like it's the only ride with a 90 minute wait even on a party night. So I book one prior to 7 so that she can enjoy it. I did the same thing for MNSSHP in October and it worked fine.

You guys are the best - knew I could count on you for an answer! I've let my friend know and she's going to set up FP for prior to the party.
