Must-Do Things Added To WDW In The Past 2 Years

First time poster, longtime lurker. This site and board have provided a lot of great tips so figured I'd come on here for some advice.

My family (8 of us ranging from 19-82) have gone to WDW a lot. We used to go every two years but took a break. We returned for our first time since 2006 in 2014. We're definitely WDW veterans (aka hitting the early character breakfast, closing the parks, fastpasses all booked, etc.) but just trying to see what's a must-do for any new attractions/events added since 2014. All of our dinners/breakfast's are booked so for food, if there's any new quick bites/snacks to check out, that'd be cool too. We're going down from the 19th-24th, staying at POR, so we'll be there in time for River of Lights to open.

Any other suggestions? Much appreciated and thanks!

I agree with the Parade, and I'd check out Seven Dwarves Mine Train too.

That's about it that's really must-do in the past few years.

I see you are eating at Tiffins-take some time to have a drink on the porch, Nomads Lounge-lovely and relaxing! Enjoy your trip!!

Its been 2 years for us as well. There is so much, I am glad we are going for 2 weeks. Some of the things I expect to take a day to do by themselves. Depending on when you go, don't forget Pandora. I think it is going to be slammed. My feeling is that there is no compromise on it with Cameron. He is kind of maniacal with things he owns which makes it better for us.

Really appreciate the feedback, thanks guys. We actually hit The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster last time we were there. We did it about 5 or 6 times, it was great. I was hoping we'd be able to get an early sneak peak into Pandora but looks like we're gonna be there just a few weeks too early.

Is the nighttime safari different than the usual safari at AK? I booked the latest fastpass available for the safari assuming that that was it. I thought I saw something else about a nighttime safari but it was an additional fee?

Also, I'm definitely intrigued to check out Disney Springs but not sure how late things are open there. Wouldn't mind going with my sister/cousins who are 21+ to grab a drink once the park closes.

Thanks again!

You have to do the night time safari at AK!! It is unbelievable!! Also another updated/refurbished ride since you have been there, is Pirates of the Caribbean. Pay attention to the smells.

Ah okay, so it's actually at the lodge. Didn't realize that. Not sure how crazy they'd be to spend an extra $75 per person, despite all the incredible reviews. Thanks for that.
While there may be a safari at the lodge, there is one at the AK park as well. That one shouldn't cost any additional money.
Sorry if I confused you with links. Sometimes google provides too much info.

Festival of Fantasy is an absolute must (especially considering it's the only parade at the parks right now). It's the best daytime parade we've had in ages, in my opinion.

I know many people don't think Mine Train is worth the wait, but even though it's a short ride I personally think it's wonderful.

Also Soarin' Around the World, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, and the projections on the Tree of Life at night. :)
