Definitely Chef Mickeys! The characters are great! I would also recommend CRT , it can be pricey, so if you don't want to spend that much 1900 park faire is a good replacement as it had all the Cinderella characters.

I'd highly recommend Crystal Palace. The Pooh characters were great for our little ones. If you book an early breakfast, you'll get to go into the park before it opens and timed right, you'll finish breakfast and wander around a still-empty park to ride rides in Fantasyland

My DS loved Chef Mickey's & Crystal Palace. When we left CP, he cried and said he wanted to stay forever haha!

Depending if your daughter is a Disney Junior fan, Hollywood & Vine might be a good option. The good is average at best, but the opportunity to meet Handy Manny, Jake, Sofia and Doc McStuffins without having to stand in long lines, is worth it. Also, we found Akershus to be a hidden gem. The food was very good there, and the atmosphere was lovely. You also get a photo with Belle included in the price of the meal. The princesses there when we went were Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella and Ariel.

Mickeys Backyard BBQ is the Holy Grail for toddlers and parents alike. Quick food, live music, dancing for kids, Mickey and his gang readily available. There has been one stop for us now three years in a row, and it's the bees knees.

Our favourite was Tusker House at AK. Had a 5,3 &1 year old with us. Had the best selection for food too. My 3 year old couldn't believe we could have doughnuts for breakfast!

Our girls were ages 2 and 4 on their first two trips to WDW. We've done every character meal over the last few years, but Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Garden Grill were the most exciting for them. I think CRT, Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace would be the top 3 from this short list if I had to narrow it down.

As for the meals noted, you can only do dinner at Garden Grill, but if you go- ask for a table on the lower level. As for the other 4...we prefer breakfast to any of the other meals at these spots. And if you do Crystal Palace and/or Cinderella's Royal Table- I'd try for a pre-park opening breakfast. While the park isn't totally empty at that time, it's certainly not crowded either. Just love seeing the kids skipping up MSUSA with plenty of room to spare. We like the 7am slot at Chef Mickey's since you can have breakfast and make it to any of the parks in time for opening.

As for all of the others...the reality is that experiences can vary at all of these (even our faves noted above). Examples: Our experiences at Tusker House have us in no hurry to return- yet we know others still rave, we like Akershus lunch and dinner over breakfast and also over CRT lunch and dinner- still I prefer being the castle to being in Akershus, Cape May has great food- yet for the price I feel there should be at least 1 more character, we like H&V breakfast - the food-service-characters were all good- but I don't think I'd do the Playhouse Disney themed meal again until they offer 1 or 2 popular characters beyond the preschool set, and while we had great service and character interaction at 'Ohana breakfast- the food when we went left a lot to be desired. Still- these are just our personal opinions and experiences.

Last summer we took my son for the first time (2.5yrs old) to garden grill in the land pavilion. He absolutely fell in love with Chip and a Dale. Now he sleeps with their stuffed animals every night and watches the old cartoons on you tube. I don't know if there is another restaurant where you can meet them.

Garden grill is a favorite of ours! I believe you can also "dine" with chip n dale at Mickeys Backyard BBQ...

Is she going to be meeting characters elsewhere? (For example, if she's going to Epcot Character Spot to meet Mickey and Friends, Chef Mickey's would be duplicative...)

For the best combination of decent food and character interaction, but also in the interest of not doing too many expensive and time-consuming character meals, I'd suggest one meal at Crystal Palace (Pooh characters, if she knows them, if not, then Chef Mickey's) and one meal at Akershus (princesses). If there are other characters she wants to meet, plan to do it at their respective meet-and-greet locations, early in the morning or later with FP+, instead.

We've found that one or two character meals is really our "limit" per trip, since the food tends to be lower-quality than non-character restaurants, and you sometimes have to wait forever for the characters to circulate. YMMV!
