Music Question: Star Tours (WDW vs. DL)

Hey everyone!

I recently came back from a trip to Southern California, where I picked up Disneyland's 2008 and 2006 soundtracks. Then I got my first iPod, and when I was uploading these and my WDW CD's, I noticed something a little unusual: On the DL CDs' Star Tours track, they play a different intro (the first 30 seconds or so, before REX comes in) than the WDW CDs. The DL intro sounds like a lounge piece, while the WDW intro sounds more epic. Does anyone know why this is?

(On an unrelated note, forshame to both DL and WDW for not including anything from MuppetVision 3D on any recent soundtracks. Even just one of the area songs would make a cool addition to a future CD.)

I've noticed this too..I also have both versions..The DL version has the Mos Isley score while the WDW version is just the Opening and Jingle...My guess is that the WDW version has more tracks than the DL one...

The music from the CD that plays before the ride is from the queue video. There is a screen that plays different advertisements for trips to those planets, and the music is the score for those commercials. I believe DL & WDW versions of the ride have the same audio.

Different commercials were used on each of the CDs to make them unique.
