Music from the parks...

Okay so, I used to love mousegeeks and Disney-Central to get videos/music from the park which you can't buy. (Or aren't available anywhere etc etc).

But, my first problem was I've switched from a PC to Mac and find programs too hard to use for Disney Central! (I got too used to mIRC + Invision haha) So there goes that source.

And secondly, Mousegeeks is now a pay only site. Which totally sucks because with me being a teenager and all my money going towards like supplies for college and other stuff I need in life (Clothes etc) I can't exactly afford it.

So basically, my question is, where is the best place to get park music and videos from? (Which arent the above two :) )

Mousebits.com is a great torrent site with park audio and video. You'll need a torrent program (for Mac, I recommend Acquistion). As far as IRC goes, download the program Snak. It's very easy to use and you can once again try out the #Disney-Central channel.

I'm a Mac user too. Congratulations on the switch.

Looks like you quickly edited your post, Barnum. My email has you saying something about a "crapple". Apple computers can "handle" torrents, along with anything else.

 - however my display isn`t registering an edit in his post.
MouseBits has a lot of non-commercial audio, but not the single files from IRC; audio is gathered into more of a collection as opposed to a 3mb MP3 here and there.

Thanks guys for the info. I'll go try them out :)

I love my iMac, it's very amazing, much better than any PC I've had. I'm still adjusting to other programs doing what things did on my PC (for one, mIRC won't work, so I'll give that program a go!)

Thanks again. And, I've missed posting here lol. I'll have to do it more often since I finally have time

So...

what's a torrent

and how does it affect those of us WITH a pc? :lookaroun (I had the same problem, Tigger2K, and I was even willing to pay mousegeeks, but they aren't letting me register for some reason  )

Perhaps they read here? :lookaroun :o *shrug*

True it was edited as soon as I posted; you'd answered the question I was composing - "Can Crapples handle bit torrents?"

Seemed little point in leaving the post as was, following on from a post from an Apple user letting Tigger2000 know that Crapples can use bit torrent

A torrent is one big file containing a bunch of smaller files, or it could just be one file, like a video. Think of a zip file. Now, when you download a torrent, everyone who is downloading the torrent is downloading pieces from each other, not from one central location. That's why the more users downloading, the quicker it goes.

haha I feel like such an idiot. I can't work this Snak thing... is it the same setting as mIRC? coz it's asking for the name of the server as well as it's address.

(I think I'm either blind, or it's not there in the #D-C thread :S )

maybe try the torrent thing first .. I think I need to work on a new irc serving script soon .. the !Dolby server isn't working right .. I guess the script got corrupted .. if all works well, I'll get a 10mbit (upload!!) connection tomorrow .. so i can pretty much serve the whole channel without any download restrictions :)
