MuppetVision this time around?

So, the Muppets are pretty much my sole draw to HS, and we always make a point to go "just in case" the attraction closes before our next trip. We are returning in January, and from a timing standpoint I would love to skip HS. However, I am worried that with all the changes in the park this will soon be on the chopping block. Any insights on whether I should maybe make a trip over, just in case?

I don't think Disney is going to get a rid of Muppet Vision any time soon considering they rethemed Pizza Planet and have a Muppet bathroom.

I think Star Tours: The Adventure Continues is more in danger than Muppet Vision to be gone within the next 5 years. The only thing with Star Tours is Disney is going wait a certain amount of time after Star Wars: Galaxies Edge opens.

One thing that I wish people would remember is there will never, ever be another Jim Hanson created Muppet Vision. It is worth keeping and being thankful that we still have a tribute to the mans creativity and imagination. Something that a new one will just not possess. Not everything needs to be replaced.

Nothing stopped them from closing Muppet*Vision in Disneyland, which was basically the ONLY Muppets-based relevance in all of Disneyland. On top of that, remember when they changed the entrance to having a more generic marquee that can easily be changed?

Surrounding area changes or not, I will never get rid of the fear that Disney could do away with The Muppets at WDW quickly, easily, and without notification at any given moment. All attractions and theming could close so easily.

With that being said, I have to say the attraction is in good shape. My only bug with the attraction in its current state is the seats are VERY worn out and could use a massive refurb. They were very awkwardly worn.

Also, it has always been a pet peeve of mine that Sweetums* is both out in the audience AND on screen at the same time during the shows ending after the explosion.

If you are worried, then definitely head over. See the show, get a souvenir in case it really does disappear before you can return to the parks again.

(Don't forget to visit the Muppets in Liberty Square, too!)

The park needs to keep some attractions that are entertaining and both child/ adult friendly. Muppets, although dated still is enjoyable and draws guests in. The pre-show is fun to watch and theres lots of comical/ interesting things scattered around the area to look for. We go every visit to DHS. You should plan on going back.

MuppetVision is ridiculously dated, needs a new updated movie badly.
It's funny how people see things differently. I think muppet vision is one of the least dated movies in the parks. It holds up extremely well. All they need to do is redo the CG for Waldo and its fine. It's the only show that makes me laugh everytime I see it. I see zero reason for it to go, especially with the studios needing things to do.

Other thing is they recently transferred to an HD Version of the film and is a sharper and brighter..It's also interesting to point out that even tho Waldo C. Graphic was "Created" By PDI Animation which later became Dreamworks Animation....

After the popularity of Muppetvision he then became a regular on the former Jim Henson Hour...It was to introduce their new tech of Digital Puppetry...And they have been using it ever since for Attractions like the Great Hershey Mystery at Hershey's Chocolate World, And TV Shows like Sid The Science Kid...

As long as you have park hoppers, MuppetVision 3D is always worth it. :) Even as big of a fan of the attraction as I am, I can't say it's worth wasting a day of park admission just for it.

It is worth a day of park admission, given the fact that the park only has about 12 attractions.
