Muppetvision on the low????

When we went in July-Aug there were maybe 50 people in the theater and we could pick whatever seat we wanted. We also took the backstage tour, but they did not say anything about rehabing MV3D.

It really is all going to depend if Disney actually drops the money for the Muppets. Of course, if a deal doesn't happen in the next couple of months, it probably won't ever happen. But if Disney actually DID acquire the Muppets and the Jim Henson Co., I'm sure we'd see a TON of changes over at MGM. They would probably take over the whole area around Muppetvision, with more rides and shows.

But, of course, Disney is being cheap. They want to spend the least amount. And because of that, I don't believe they will actually win out. Brian Henson will probably be able to pull the company out by himself. And thus, we won't ever see what could have been with the Muppets and Disney!

I saw the show in early August, there was no line at all. And not many people there. There were rows that were not close to being full. But it was still open.

Ditto - i was there in july. same thing you said

I've only seen the show once - I heard it was so wonderful, but I didn't care for it much :( That is just a matter of taste though - I've heard a bunch of good things about the show from others...I guess it's just not my thing!

hallowboy11 - IMHO you're being a bit tacky...cheap is a harsh word. You of course have every right to express an opinion - please remember though, it's your opinion...be nice please! :)

Peace Ya'll !

With the opening of Mickey's Philpharmagic, won't all four theme parks now have a 3d movie ? I enjoy them, but would imagine some people would think " I've already done this ". Honestly, how many times can you get spritzed in the face with water and have it be funny. Time to come up with something new.

Please don't mess with it! Can't Disney leave ONE thing alone??

I remember seeing Muppetvision 4D when it was PACKED. I'm talking about waiting outside in line for 45 mins, at least. And, when you got inside, the pre-show room was PACKED, as well. Then, the theatre.. not a seat to be had. That was a couple of years ago -- now -- you go there.. and there's hardly a soul. :(

May - June 2001, no massive pre show Qs but the theatre was always full, perhaps the ragheads have been more effective than I thought

NTN is a national bar trivia game that I play here in Naples, FL. It's really fun. You get a wireless computer-type device called a "playmaker" which you can obtain by asking a server or bartender for one. You sign into the playmaker using a name (which mine is "HAQQER") and watch any one of the monitors in the sports bar that has the game running on it. You answer the questions using the playmaker by either entering 1,2,3,4, or 5. It's fun to compete against people in the same bar, but the idea is to shoot for #1 in the national rankings. So, its a good idea to get as many people to play along with you so you can get an overall bar score (which is the average of the top 5 players in your bar). If you're ever in Naples -- let me know -- I'll introduce it to you. Who knows, you might want to e-mail the folks at NTN and have them install it in England :)

Sorry for the digression in this thread -- I just wanted to make sure that my name was "NTN_HAQQER" and not "NTN_HAGGIS" LOL

I've seen that game in bars - I used to play it online back in like 98 or something. Can you still play those games online? I do love trivia!:animwink:
