I was under the impression that the mummy would be an indoor roller coaster with set theming, very much like the RockNRollercaoster at MGM Studios.

As for pieces of track showing up, where was this spotted? The last time I saw the inside of the "Kong" soundstage (only a couple months ago) it was still very empty, with dug-up/dirt floor and one or two scaffolding towers (which appeared to be for maintenence on the ceiling.)

Will there be a "coming soon" promo in the Express Pass lobby next door? (The part of the building that once housed the big promo for IoA before it opened...)

As for projecting an image onto a smoke screen, well, that sounds like 1 effect in a world where most modern rides have about 50 special effects.

The ride isn't going to be like Rock n' Rollercoaster at all. The smoke screen isn't for just effect, it is to show environments for the entire ride. (Unlike glowing signs) Also, the ride system has a patent on it that looks incredibly complex. Lastly, the ride track was spotted about a month and a half ago by the gates surrounding the Kong Building. I posted a thread on this a little while back with a link to the pictures. Universal wants this to be their new Spider-man so I doubt it is going to be just a coaster in a building.
