MTV Movie Awards

At the hospital today, I saw on TV on some channel and they said that POTC has been nominated for 6 MTV movie awards. Does anyone have anymore info about this? Now to be perfectly honest, I tried to watch the awards last year, but I had to turn it off because of the horrible punk rock music that they played and the sick sexual jokes they kept cracking throughout the performance. Not to mention their "wonderful" performance at the Superbowl. Anyway, any thoughts or info?

So.........what was everyone's thoughts on the show?

I thought it was great. The beginning, with Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Peter Jackson was really funny. The two Anchorman scenes, one with Jim Caviezel and one with Rebecca Romijn-Stamos were hilarious, and I also liked the part before they announced the Best Movie with Lindsay Lohan (who is so much better than Hilary Duff) portraying Uma Thurman in Kill Bill Volume 2 with Andy ________, in the black-and-white car scene. I also enjoyed D-12's performance, that was good too.

It was also great to hear Johnny Depp say he was "immersed in research for Pirates of the Caribbean 2" after winning Best Male.........

I must say I enjoyed it too. My favorite parts were of course Johnny's acceptance speech (he looked HOT )...anyway I also loved Ron Burgundy and Jim "Jesus" Caviezel :lol:. I thought it was hilarious especially when Jim walked on the pool. Jim is also tres HOT :lol:. Andy was hilarious as well.


Edited to add: How can I forget Ellen as Spiderman?! That part cracked me up!

Yea, Lindsay did a real good job. The opening, with her "parents" reminded me SO much of the Debbie Downer skit. Did anyone catch the joke Vin Diesel said about how he pronounced the girls name? That went *swoosh* right over my head. It also seemed weird when the director of LOTR won, and that guy came up. It didn't even look like he was supposed to come up. D12's performance was stupid. They can only do the same thing so many times before it gets old. That song is played out as it is, but him showing his a** and all of that...just was not nescesary. Ellen is awsome, and the Spiderman costume cracked me up (even though I had seen her present the nominees a day before the awards). The video with Owen Wilson was so dumb. That guy creeps me out.

I liked it alot better than this past music awards. This one "was electric...?..."

These were the ABSOLUTE WORST movie awards ever........the movies performances sucked and the movies that were up for the awards werent even that good.......besides pirates, freaky friday, and Nemo......

and that little guy that was in the cage handing up the awards was FREAKY and SCARY..........
