MT's Worldly Update 9/12/07

Went to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT today and back to Magic Kingdom again for the Cast Member Boo to You Parade preview.

First, the Magic Kingdom:



Halloween/Fall decorations have taken over the Kingdom and may I say it looks awesome; pictures will NOT do it justice. The Mickey pumpkins on the lamp posts light up and flicker at night!




Believe it or not, the crane is there, you just can't see it. So don't worry about you vacation being "ruined"...



The Haunted Mansion got a nice paint job and a brand spanking new red canopy!



EPCOT:

They're working on the new signs for SSE. I also noticed that the area to the right and left of the Siemens swooshes looks like it may be being worked on.

Boo to You Parade:

I had never seen this parade before and boy is it a treat! If you ever get a chance, go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween to see it for yourself. It's really cool.



The rest of the parade photos aren't that great, so I'll wait for someone with better nighttime photo taking skills to post theirs.

I have more pictures from today, but I am very tired, and I want to be at the Magic Kingdom to ride the HM when it opens. If anyone else is going to the Mansion tomorrow look for me, I'll be wearing my EPCOT Center hat. Good night and "See ya real soon!"

Wow, I was there the 12th too. I went to MK, Epcot, MGM, and back to MK. When did they show that parade, was it after 9 when the park closed or during park hours?

Loved seeing the Spaceship Earth picture, thanks for posting that. Looks so funny without all the plants and foliage along the sides. And so far it looks like they have kept the original mural!!! :ROFLOL:

Totally agree. Boo to You is the best parade at Walt Disney World. And the song is totally infectious. I kept humming it for like a week after last years halloween party.

The new decorations out front and in Town Square look great.
Is that Mickey frame on the front lawn really filled with pumpkins? That's a lot of pumpkins!

Wow! Someone should have warned me about the sea of humanity that shows up for the cast preview. We got off the bus in ToonTown and were held up till we could be herded on to Main St. I felt like cattle,....no, I felt like a GUEST :lol: . However, having us pick up busses at the Guest Bus terminals back to WestClock (cast Parking) was quite efficient. Still felt like cattle, but it moved quickly. It was a fun parade, but I still maintain the the Pirate and Princess one is better.

And thank you for posting all those photos. Now I don't feel the need to post mine.
