I love me some MST...

I have a tape from Season 0... waaaaay back from cable access. Oh my it's terrible. Truly terrible... and not in a good way, either. Personally I thought the scripted shows were much better than the unscripted ones... it was far too long in between when they said anything interesting..

So many good times.

My favorites? Squirm, Hobgoblins - "Paint my muscle car prune color please!" and The Horror at Party Beach

And I've seen "Design for Dreaming" -the GM car one, with the chick in the white dress, allll over the place! It's even in Epcot in the aftershow area on Test Track!

<monster looking at dress in store window> "Oh I wish I was a size 6", ya, Horror at Party Beach is a great one. My pick for best Sci-Fi era show.

And is design for Dreaming really at Epcot! I'll have to see that next time. Maybe one day GM will make a live stage show of that short and have people preform it after you get off Test Track! (Or not)

"Tick tock, tick tock, I'm free to have fun around the clock..."
"AH! It's a salute to Mr. B Natural!"

Yeah, the first season or so of MST3K was TERRIBLE. I bought The Crawling Hand, and that had to be one of the most boring and unfunny episodes. And the movie wasn't any fun either. Thankfully it got better.

Best of those old (pre -season 3) episodes....

Robot Holocaust

and

Moon Zero Two

the last one is my FAVORITE one that dosen't have Kevin as Tom in it.

And yes, Design for Dreaming in everywhere! Here's a quick list of in-park MST things you can find...

Magic Kingdom

-in the Town Square expo hall, in the history of camera displays, in the 50's section, look for a small Amazing Collosal Man poster.

EPCOT

-You used to be able to parts of the short "Design for Dreaming" in the pre-show for Dreamchasers. This is now gone.

MGM

-in Sci-Fi drive in, you can see the poster for "Teenagers from Outer Space" in the lobby. Also the poster for "Giant Gila Monster" inside the drive in, on the fence of the left hand side.

-Watch for snippits of these experiments in the Sci-Fi Drive In film..."Teenagers from Outer Space", "Giant Gila Monster", "Horror at Party Beach", "Robot Monster", "Invasion of the saucer men", "It conqured the world", and "The Killer Shrews". (There may be more, that's just off the top of my head.

Animal Kingdom

-In Chester & Hester's Dinosaur tresaures look for "King Dinosaur" and "Lost Continent" posters up in the rafters.

Universal Studios Florida

-In the Universal Monsters Cafe, you can see the costumes, scripts, tubes, lobby cards, and a "Mutant" head from "This Island Earth"

-Also in the cafe, watch the TVs above to see the trailer for "The Mole People"

So look out for those on your next trips...

Watched "Crash of the Moons" last night...may have to send some Bannergrams.

Finally watched Pod People today (I tried before a while ago but the quality was awful) and I think it is the best (or at least one of) of the series. "Now they can re-make Rudolph's Shining New Year!"

I knew about the stuff at the Sci-fi, also the poster for "This Island Earth" can be seen in the walkway from the waiting area to the dining room.

Robot Monster is another really good pre season three episode.

And now I'm watching Zombie Nightmare (Crow:"Oh, why must they yell so?" Servo: "It's rage dear.").

I just watched the Mr. B. Natural short. Wow. A psychotically perky man/woman teaches us about the "spirit of FUN in music."

Mr. B. Natural said:
Mr. B. Natural: Knew your father, I did!

Mr. B. Natural said:
Mr. B. Natural: The spirit of music is in ALL of you!"
Crow: "No, I bathe."

Mr. B. Natural said:
Mr. B. Natural: "The clarinet's not just a clarinet, it's a happy SMILE!"
(Mr. B. starts to manically prance around in front of a huge music staff to clarinet music)
Crow: "He's so perky! Kill her."
Tom: "See Buzz, it's fun to be psychotic!"

I guess I should of just called this the Mr. B Natural Quote thread!

:ROFLOL:

I actually didn't realize how many others knew about that short. That makes me very happy! I'm not the only person who found it both hilariously funny as well as disturbingly creepy.

"...he'd jam with his imaginary friend!"

Last night, I had a few friends over, and we watched the Star Wars Holiday Special w/Rifftrax. There was much pain. I think I had a nightmare about Carrie Fisher singing the Star Wars theme song, not to mention Bea Arthur's song...and whaterver the heck Itchy was watching in that VR headset thingy. *shudder* :hurl:

Perhaps George Lucas had a point when he said that he'd like to take a slegehammer to every copy of the SWHS in existance.
