MSEP replacement?

Is there any chance MSEP will finally finish its run at MK within the next year or two? With the success of Paint The Night at Disneyland one would think WDW is next in line...

I would think that some of the money earmarked for MK will be used for a new parade in time for the 50th. That's my prediction.

I hope the new nighttime parade for WDW's 50th Anniversary might bring back the composer for Spectromagic. Since Spectromagic really fitted the nighttime atmosphere of the Magic Kingdom. I hope they might add some obscure Disney characters for the new finale or for some more floats.

I hope the new parade can be extra special for WDW since the parks throws a big celebration when it reaches a certain milestone. We haven't seen WDW throw an event like this since the 100 Years Of Magic Celebration.

Just like paint the night is inspired by the main street electrical parade I think there should be a new parade inspired by spectro!

I hope we might get new character exclusive to the parade similar to the Spectromen who only appeared in Spectromagic.

MK could use a new night time parade now if you ask me. MSEP needs a break.
I agree, I respect MSEP but Spectromagic really has a Disney feel to it with the sound track and floats. It leaves you with a magical feeling along with watching the fireworks before leaving the park. The finale always gives me goosebumps because of how beautiful the lights are when changing to white and the music that goes along with it complete with classic Disney characters.

You know what obscure Disney characters would be perfect for a nighttime parade...?

Paint the Night is an amazing parade and we will be lucky to get something similar. I wouldn't even be angry if we got a clone (inb4 the no clones crowd). I saw it in person and had to go see it every night just to experience it again.

Spectromagic 2.0 a la Paint the Night would be even better.

True, but I'm pretty sure that's not the kind of vibe they're going for.
Maybe for a scary Halloween parade, though!
Especially since a few characters from that show used to do meet and greets at the parks in the mid 90's. When I think of obscure Disney characters, I think of The Rescuers,The Aristocats, or The Sword In The Stone. Since Merlin used to be found at Disneyland when ever someone pulls out the sword in the stone.

MSEP Forever!! I know many folks liked Spectro, but to me, it was ploddingly magestic, unlike MSEP, which is perfectly exciting!! Specto is actually a waltz, if you listen to the main theme. Not what I'm looking for when I'm looking for excitement.

I would like to see a Paint the Night with the Spectromagic underliner and Jiminy Cricket as the host. Also more whirly pods and at least 20 units like they used to have, something Paint the Night really lacks. I also wonder if they would bring the Main Street Electrical Parade back to California for a visit and do a trade off. but I would really like to see them remake Spectromagic or at least reuse most of the music. I think the orchestrated music is a Disney World thing and that the next light parade will be orchestrated with hints of Spectroamgic.

I miss the whirly pods so much, glad the new parade in Disneyland did a shoutout to the parade. Even though the pods don't spin that much and are slower than Spectros.
