Hey Guys. So unless something has changed I think the opening night for the MSEP at MK is set for June 6. Is anyone else planning on going that night to see it's debut? My gf and I are heading out with some other friends just because we think it'll be neat to see on it's first actual run. I'm kind of thinking it's going to be a pretty crowded Sunday night at MK because of it, though I hope I'm wrong!

Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same plans as us!

I will be there also Pop June 4-8 and yes it will be VERY VERY BUSY!!!!! Between that and the new fireworks that night MK is going to be the place to be. They really should have added a summer tag to Illuminations (in my mind I saw that they were!) to try and even out the crowds! Or brought back something to DHS not just a dance party and a lighting effect for the night and a new drop profile that will be running all day long!

I'll be there the 4th to 11th. We will be at MK for the new parade and fireworks on Monday the 7th. Do you think the crowds will be intense then?

From what I have heard they will run a soft opening of the parade and fireworks on 6/5/10 and the official opening will be like you said on 6/6/10. We will be there both nights just to be sure and I have the fireworks desert party reserved for 6/6/2010. (Don't tell Mrs Yoda. I told her is was sold out that night. :drevil:)

hmmmm soft opening on a Saturday or Real opening on a Sunday. Both days are going to be crazy crowded...Maybe we'll get some ADRs for one of those nights and plan on doing nothing else but watching the fireworks and parade.

we just saw this thing in December on the 2nd day of the season at DCA...the parade was about 40 minutes late starting because of technical difficulties, I'm definitely excited for it coming to WDW and am wondering if they're going to have the same sort of issues for the first couple nights. The crowds at Disneyland are definitely much more laid back...I don't know if WDW crowds would be willing to wait patiently for a parade that runs 40 mins late!

That particular weekend is going to be incredibly crazy for us. We will be at DHS for SWW during the day and at MK in the evening. Not only will Ray Park and Billy Dee Williams be at SWW guaranteeing that it will be a mad house but the opening of Nighttastic at MK will do the same for MK. I was quite relieved that I was able to book the fireworks dessert part so at least one part of that weekend will have a bit of calm to it.

Hwy maybe we ought to organize a WDW Magic group meeting and reserve a huge spot for viewing the parade as a group. It would be fun to put some faces with names I see on these boards all the time. :sohappy:

Okay who else is game? What time would we need to start finding our spot? Also where would be a good spot to reserve?
I am not sure of what times the parade and the fireworks will be but if the 2 events are close enough together I have found that the area in front of Casey's is a great spot to watch both with easy access to both food and bath rooms.

before I commit, what are the show times for the parade and fireworks that night? And where does everyone like to watch the show from? Are we looking to get one area where we can see both shows? (like bridge going into the Hub from Main Street). It's going to be hellacrowded that night so the less moving from one place to another the better.

I'm also wondering how well trying to hold a spot for a group is going to go that night considering the crowd levels. :dazzle:

Anyway...I just wont mention it to the gf, but we'll probably be game. I should have StageFrenzy and his fiance in tow with me that night too.

We could all agree not to wear deodorant and that should clear about an 8' radius.

The official site shows parade at 9 and fireworks at 10 on both 6/5/2010 and 6/6/2010 so it would be a good idea to find one place to watch both.

LOL YODA!! I doubt the lack of deodorant would phase many people considering how many European tourists do the same thing on a daily basis.:lol:

Once we pick a time/place I'll run it past the wife and see if she wants to keep the little one at the parks that late or if she wants to take him back to the room and me and my daughter can hang. Just let me know when and where we wanna meet and I'll be there.
