I Also, we aren't getting Gargoyles in a Kingdom Hearts game ever because Disney won't allow them to use TV shows.

Why not?

EDIT: And regarding the "Disney doesn't like crossovers" thing, that's not entirely true. Aladdin guest-starred in an episode of Hercules: The Animated Series with no sort of "neutral zone" whatsoever. Hercules showed up in Agrabah, then the both of went to Hades' Underworld.

If you're talking Disney crossovers (that don't involve any magical universe-hopping), nothing will ever match "Legend of the Chaos God," a five-part sprawling epic in Disney Adventures magazine from 1994 that brought Talespin, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Ducktales, AND Darkwing Duck all under the same fictional roof. Considering that the WWII-era Talespin was set about a half-century earlier than those other cartoons, the story managed to stretch across both space (stretching from Cape Suzette to Spoonerville to Duckburg to St. Canard) AND time to weave a tale of wonder.

Good point, though I'm sure someone will make the claim that that "doesn't count" for some reason. Another crossover? The episode of Lilo & Stitch: The Series that had Kim Possible. Also, Phineas & Ferb meeting the Marvel Superheroes.

That was before Disney fully established the rigid rules they have now, which I believe was a couple years later when the Princess engine's wheels started to crank harder at the end of the 90s and the whole "No Princess Interaction" rule apparently came from a request of Roy's.

Apparently the LIlo and Stitch crossovers were all "The writers ran out of ideas for the last season" and they managed to convince the execs to go with it.

I think with Marvel there's less hesitation because Marvel's got a history with weird crossover stuff anyway like Archie Meets the Punisher, plus it's been used as a way to draw attention to the DIsney property being used like how before Phineas and Ferb's special, there was that Prep and Landing strip with them in the Avengers Mansion to promote Naughty vs Nice.

Was the Prep & Landing/Marvel crossover only in comics?

I like the little nod. It's just one of those fun things they throw in to make the Disneyphiles like us happy. Like Mr. Toad in the HM pet cemetery. Those are the things I like best at WDW and hope they keep adding.

Now if only they fix Roger Rabbit's silhouette....
