A friend of mine is trying to write a movie script.
The only problem is they don't know the abbreviations, like INT. and EXT., any help would be appreciated.

I am writing a movie called NESSE. It is about an explorer team searching for the legendary Lochness Monster. Everything goes wrong, it has a really nice story behind it.

Good. I'm also a writer. I finished the first chapter of a story called "The Gathering Of Deus" (G.O.D) which is an adventure that gives a believable explanation of the world's creation and what's beyond it in the present year. If anyone wishes to have a look at it, just tell me.

No problem. Take in account that I haven't given the pro. script format yet, just wrote is a play which in one way it's easier to read.
I tried to send it to the e-mail that you included in your profile, but you have it blocked so give me an address please.
Oh, other thing, the name and idea is copyrighted, so if you want to send it to a friend of yours or use you need to tell me first, ok?

Well, enjoy.

Cool...way to go Luau...on the Copyright!....as soon as my script is done..... I am going to send it to the WGA (Writers Guild.....union http://www.wga.org ) Get my work protected...and try to sell it...most likely thru a script broker.....;) And.......I will let you guys read it...

It is a really cool story...with a few great action sequences...The Climax is gonna be really cool....and a Director of Photography is gonna have a field day with it:D.......most of the story HAS happened in my life...and career....but the rest is embellished....hey its a movie right?...LOL

Question from the airhead in the corner here...

How do you make sure your work is copywrited. I've heard of many different ways... i.e. Sending the work to yourself in a sealed envelope, signing and dating everything you wrote to prove that you wrote it on a certain date.. so I'm confused...

Sorry I just.. um.. feel really stupid now. I should know this stuff.

You gotta LOVE the writer's guild!!!
Angelique check out there site....

www.wga.org

Even if you are not a member.... you can send in your movie script and $20...and they protect your work...you can do it elsewhere as well.... but if you do it thru the guild...you have the protection of there lawyers:D Hee hee.

I am not sure if they do anything besides scripts for non-members.... again...have to check the site. Hope that helps a bit....
:)

Okay, I know this'll sound reeeealllly stupid, but here goes,
The demo for Movie Magic Screenwriter doesn't cost anything, right? I reeeealllly don't want to pay for something that I am just experimenting with! Hehe.
Thanks!

Kev,

The 40 page demo is free...after that you have to buy the program...also is saves in only THERE file format...you cannot...save as a .pdf or .doc..etc and....you dont get all the really cool toys / and tools with the demo...it took me writing ..oh...3 or 4 scenes to get the hang of there program....its good....better than doing it "freehand" in word....LOL:)

And Luau...sorry...If I give a single plot point out...it would ruin it...give me a couple more months...then I'll tell ya..:) ;)

You mean you have to buy the program if you want to have more than 40 pages or do you mean after 40 pages you MUST buy the program or you will be in big trouble?
Sorry, with a program that's $250 you can never be too careful!
