Mouse Surplus Location

Hey,
Well I have a question about the location of the Mouse Surplus store. On the bottom of this link, http://www.crazedfanboy.com/spotlight/salvage.html they have an address to Mouse Surplus. I went down to Disney over my spring break and when I found the store (1475 Pine Avenue in Orlando, Florida) the building was up for rent. So, is this address old and they moved? Or are they only selling items on Ebay now? I used Mapquest for directions so I am pretty sure I was in the right place. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. First post :)

I was just there a couple of weeks ago. From the front it looks all closed down and non existent, but if you drive through the fencing on the right hand side of the building and go around towards the back it is quite alive... Pretty large warehouse with so much stuff its incredible.

Yup.... it's located in an Industrial Part of Orlando south of Downtown Orlando. South Orange Ave, past of Rachels, across a ways from the Racetrack

Can you just go to this place and take a look see? Or do you have to set an appointment of some sort? I would like to go see some of that old equipment and bring back some memories.

Yea when we got there the store/building where it was supposed to be looked almost out of place because of all the industrial areas and the HUGE train yard beside it. So mainly next time I go I just have to go on the other side of the building??

Just drive around to the right of the old run down looking building, and around to the back, and youll see all the VERY LARGE Disneyana laying around and youll know your there. And they dont mind if you just stop by and take a look ...of course I was there to pick up a buzz lightyear ride car front, but he did say to stop in anytime.

Great....can't wait to check that place out next trip. Thanks for the info.

Are there any other places out there like that one? Not to visit but to check out online? I would only visit the ones closer to WDW, I wouldn't make any special trips otherwise.

Although I fail to find the humor, thanks for the idea. But what I meant to come across asking was if there were any threads or links towards this topic.....so I didn't have to search. :brick:

And that search didn't come up with anything new, so if you know of one please be a pal and send it through. :D

If you are a "local" you might know what "Rachels" is. Then again, if you put 2 & 2 together you should be able to figure it out. :drevil: :drevil: :drevil:

If you look at www.mousesurplus.com you can see that they have a store and I believe anyone can go and shop around, just check their hours. I bought an animation desk there from the good old days at MGM when they had the good The Magic of Disney Animation and you could watch the animators at work, and I also bought one of the chairs used there as well.

Thanks to Rob for everything in regards to those two!

I'm only a local about 2-3 times a year. Does a Disney Timeshare count?
