mouse boat question?

Can any of the Disney experts tell me if while I'm out in the lagoon riding around in one of the mouse boats I'll be able to see any of the closed River Country? I don't know if you can get close enough to see the old park or any parts of the old park from the boats but I would sure like to capture a few pictures from the boat and post them on the boards. Also can anyone give me the price per hour of the boats? We'll be staying at the Poly. in September. Thanks!

The only part of River country that you can see is from the water's edge. That's about it. I've rented a pontoon boat once with four friends and it was a blast! As with the water mouse you can go where ever you want but you need to remain 50ft from water's edge.
I don't recall pricing, but I don't think it's too expensive.

Mouse Boats are $18 for half hour and $30 for the a full hour.

Thanks Freaklarm and DisneyCP2000 for the quick responses. I new you guys could help me out. Can you see any parts of Discovery Island from the boats? I hear the island along with so many other former Disney attractions is just sitting there. I have a soft spot for all the old closed attractions just sitting there doing nothing. The first time I took my family to Disney was 4 years ago so I missed all these closed attractions.
