Motorola backflip

So..I just ordered the Motorola backflip..

Does anyone have it?
Pros and cons?

I looked up a bunch of reviews and saw a lot of good ones..and some not so good ones but that is the same for the iphone which I was also looking at...:shrug:

I have 30 days after I get it to return it and get something else..so if I am not a fan that is a good thing.

I also got it for a really good price with my upgrade option..

Just wondering what others think.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. :o

Ok... here is what I know. Its got motoblur... which is a motorola custom built UI (user interface) that over lays on top of the Android OS. Android is solid... but I dont know enough about blur, as I have never really played with it (I am more of a android w/ HTC sense UI guy these days). I hear it (blur) is great for social networking though *shrug* :shrug::D

I DO know enough about android.. and i know thats its pretty solid and intuitive. :)

Its got a full hard qwerty keyboard... so if your not a fan of touch screens. then you should like that. :)

Oh no problem..I just know you are Mr. Android..:D..so I asked..I saw a lot of good reviews..and a friends bf has it and loves it..I guess I will see..

Also..many free apps which I like..especially the educational ones..I know iphone charges for a lot of apps

Ship that back and get the iPhone 3GS (Now just $99 at Walmart). Or even better, wait until early June for the next iPhone - most likely $199 ish.

I'm yet to see someone get an iPhone and not be blown away by how good it is. Assuming you are happy with AT&T as your carrier that is. :)

Hmm..I can get the iphone through ATT for $99 also..and I am fine with ATT never have problems and have been with them for a long time..

Well, I will test it out and see...my brother has an iPhone so I will compare that with this one when I get it..

I do not mind the iPhone..never really played with it..just saw this one and decided to give it a try..

Yeah.. I wasnt to impressed with it... :shrug: And I am not going to be charged to death for apps... when I can get them for free on android market. :king::D

Plus.. I can tether w/o having to JailBreak / root my phone. Annnd... dunno about there... but At&t is awful around here. Their network is a joke. Sprint's network is pretty fast.

I have many other reasons.. but before I go on a Steve Jobs tirade.. I will just vacate the thread. :lol: :lookaroun

Ok..I ordered and received the backflip...I only paid a penny for it also Thank you AT&T and Amazon..:D

I have had it for a few days so far...and it took a while to get used to..especially since I have never had a touch screen and all..but I really like it..and when comparing it to my brothers iPhone..I prefer this one...it basically has almost the same features...but I love that it has a regular keypad also besides the touch screen..since I can type faster on that then the touch..and I love the little backtrack thing..like a mouse on the back..especially since I am not used to scrolling with my finger and tend to go a tad bit too fast..:lol:

They have tons of apps and games...Drew and Maggie love them..and I like the fact that I can put as many shortcuts as I want on the main screens.

It is smaller then the iPhone which I like but so far it seems to be just like one..

I guess we will see if I have any problems with it..but so far I like it!..:D

I was at an AT&T store this Sunday helping a friend pick a phone out.

I was playing around with the backflip... and the main screen is a little too cluttered for me with all the social networking stuff... but overall it was nice and what I had expected being Android at the core.

Anyway... he decided on the backflip as well :D

You can choose to not have all that on the main screens..there are 5 you scroll through and on my main one is a picture of Maggie and the time..and then I have some apps on the other ones..but you can decide what you want and where..:D
I do not have all the fb stuff popping up or anything..I just have a shortcut to fb on one of the screens..


I LOVE it!

Very easy to use once you get the hang of it ..which took me a day maybe..battery life is pretty good also and that is something people worry about..:)
