Most rides in first few hours of park opening?

Not sure where exactly this should go, but eh, I'll put it under general :P

I'm just curious as to the number of rides any of you commando-style tourers have managed to do in a short amount of time.

I've only been to WDW once (going again next year!) back in April of 2011. In about 2 and a half hours, my sister and I did this at MK:
Rope drop run to Space Mountain, first people on the ride.
Then twice around on Buzz Lightyear
Get dad to go over to Splash to check out Fastpasses, ride BTMR 6 times before he gets back (turned out there was no line so he went off to get a coffee)
Twice on Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Hall of Presidents

All within the first few hours of park opening (no EMH).

So what are your family records for number of rides?

That practice has been curtailed for the foreseeable future.

Now the park opens at 850 and guests are walked by rope carrying cast members from town square to NFL. All other lands are blocked at the hub. This does mean there are rope drops at 9am in the style of years gone by where each land opens on the hour, but there will be a sizeable amount of guests already waiting in the hub to enter their land of choice.

PoTC, Splash, BTMRR and then Space Mountain. After that we downshifted and headed back for Haunted mansion. I never mind that queue as it is shaded and fun but I have heard since our last trip that many of the interactive parts are DOA :(

I've only made 1 rope drop in my 9 trips and that was during my first one in 06 and I don't remember what we did lol.

When did this start? We got to MK during opening ceremonies last October and when they let everyone in we went straight to Adventureland and did not see a rope drop. Or did I misunderstand you to mean EMH? We got to Adventureland and we walked on to JC (first ones in actually), PotC, HM, Splash, and BTMRR. AS a matter fact we did not see more than a couple of other families until we got to Splash. Even then it was dead on that side of the park all the way to 10:00am.

Great. There goes the idea of us having another morning like we did last year. :(
Aim for your first choice. Assuming it's not in NFL there will be more people than last time but I dare say you'll get your first target (say creaking Space Mountain) in like last time. Expect though if you cross the park there may be more people at your second choice (say BTM) since the initial opening surge will already have travelled up Main St and will be dispersing.

Or you may get lucky and find the majority are queuing for the Dwarf Coaster and the meet n greets. Or (again) since you've 11 months to go maybe the mania will have died down by then and things will be back to what you expect.

I've done just about every "ride" before lunch at 1pm. All mountains, all fantasyland, all tomorrowland besides something like Laugh Floor, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and even rode the train.

Doing this is possible, but it's not ideal for two reasons: Rushing to finish rides kind of misses the point of Disney. Secondly, it's harder to do now because of the increased crowds , FP+, and the method of rope drop.

I remember one year in the 90s, my sister and I were *the* first guests to enter the MK, run down Main Street and the first to ride Space Mountain. This was before fast pass even existed and Mario Lopez was on the TVs in the queue.

Now, that's pretty much impossible.

The best is 6 AM openings when they do the 24 hour events. At One More Disney Day, I was able to do Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Pirates, the treehouse, Peter Pan, small world, Snow White, Space Mountain, Peoplemover, Buzz Lightyear, Astro Orbiter and grab a seat for Hall of Presidents within a similar time frame.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
I've ridden TTA Peoplemover 8 times in a row.. And I didn't even get off of the ride each time it came to the station..............skills..........
