Finding this last week in a box I had no idea I still had. It's from the Grosvenor Resort, which is now the Wyndham LBV.
A few years back, I was in a position to where I could afford to repay those times and took him to Disney World where I picked up the tab. A very special trip for me and I my father. We did everything just like we did when I was younger. Such a great trip.

We always visited the resort to take in the mystery show and being a Sherlock Holmes fan, I loved viewing the Baker Street display. On one of our visits DS won the contest declaring the murderer and was awarded a certificate and handcuff watch. They always put on a great dinner show.

Great to hear about a DS giving back to his Father. Good job. :joyfull::joyfull::joyfull:

We are nostalgic over what we just lost at Hollywood Studios. Christmas without the Osborne Lights, the car stunt show, comedy warehouse and the streets of America. We've spent about 12 Christmases there and will miss those things very much.:cry::cry:

-Splash Mountain - because I rode it with my classmates about 10+ times on my first trip back in the 90's and loved it
-Epcot's Future World - I remember seeing parts of the park on the Disney Channel in the 80's and early 90's so it was very cool to see it in person during my first visit, it had such a "buzz" about it back in the day
-there are a thousand other nostalgic things I could list, but these are probably the most important for me

I enjoy this thread particularly because every time I go to WDW, I always think about what new experiences I will be nostalgic about in the future.

The Innoventions music, Test Track vehicles zipping by, the smell of the monorail cabins, and that chlorine-y water smell - it reminds me of Splash Mountain and the Fountain of Nations

For me, it is simply coming into the park and opening up to Main Street. Back in the day, that is ALL that was there for Disney. Yes, all the other rides were there, but walking into one world to leave another has always brought back memories. They know they can trigger buried memories with smells most easily and smelling those scents on Main Street bring back many.

For some reason, EPCOT at night rekindles childhood memories it's one thing that I remember clearly from my trips as a young kid. It brings back memories of me and my dad going into Communicore while my mum pushed my brother around outside in the stroller.
