Mosquitos!! Was Pest control part of the cuts?

It didn't buzz like a horse fly. It was kind of dark. Grandson swatted at the bug, and it landed on my leg and stung me.

Probably a yellow fly. They sting and it hurts really bad. They are very predominant in Florida.

i was at magic kingdom all day and all night yesterday, spent some time in liberty square, aint seen one single mozzie.

squirrels however, ALOT.

whats more annoying that mozzies? rude people with strollers.

Yellow flys don't really sting, stings involve a venom of some kind, they bite, but do so rather brutally.

Unlike a mosquito that inserts a fine needle like appendage, yellow flys and the like have 2 large teeth like mandibles the tear open a sizable piece of flesh. They then soak up the blood with an appendage called a labella.

That "tearing" is the reason it hurts so much.

Last night while waiting in the Haunted Mansion queue they were pretty bad. Kept constantly getting bit and eventually many people broke out the anti bug spray.
