More thrill rides.

That's because the "enchanted Tiky room" isn't in existence at the Magic Kingdom anymore. :D

PITY TOO.

It was the only attraction besides CoP that had Walt's name in the title...Happy Birthday, up there...Mr. Disney. DON'T LOOK DOWN! :(

I, for one, like what they have at the Enchanted Tiki Room. I just think that there's not enough..I would have preferred that they kept half of the original show and added this to it.

I agree ( with WDW and Beauty) but I did say 'If' Disney wants to they would wins hands down. I agree that the parks are well ahead of IOA. You need to look to the future and an option for disney could be a thrill ride park.

Theconcept of just a thril ride park would be new as most places have a selection of thril rides but not a dedicated park. WDW would be a perfect place to try becuase the size of the catchment area and the density of visitors.

I just think an "all thrill-ride park" would be a big mistake for Disney. It would greatly take away from the family image that Disney has and start to turn the company into a Six Flags or Universal. What seperates Disney from the others is its emphasize on family, good theming, and exciting rides without having huge rollercoaster (keep in mind WDW had no upside down roller coasters until RnR was built in 1999). I think a thrill ride park would bring Disney down to the levels of its competitors.

On more than a few occasions we have gotten into heated "debates" over why IOA (being mostly a thrill park) does so poorly...

LoL..thanks..its topics like that which make people forget that an OPINION doesnt mean someone is wrong...and the last time we went thru that whole ordeal..we ended up having a pretty messy "battle"....of which at this point has been erased from the forum.

I obviously do not want to go there. But if I did it would take several weeks to get through it as I spend most of my time at work and come on once aweek or even less LOL

I have to completely disagree on that. It would be a great thing for Disney to have a park made up of majorly thrill rides. Disney has a theming ability with its parks that's hard to beat anywhere else, and they could certainly continue that even with a park made up of thrill rides. A thrill ride park would be a great move for Disney and the overall quality of the Disney parks would keep it on a standard above its competitors.

considering there are probably 100 previous posts saying exactly what you just said...I don't think we need to discuss it again.

all i got to say is that i loved ioa... while working down at ak last semester, my friends and i all got season passes to ioa (not the double pass to both universal parks, though). it only cost 60 bucks or a bit more. had a blast riding the hulk and the dragons. loved fire. just an awesome ride. one of the cm at dragons told us that the ride was originally designed for ak, but disney sold the ride idea to ioa. is that true? i saw old design concepts for dak, and it did have an area with a castle that was half on fire and half frozen. i think it would kind of make sense. but anyway, i got to say that ioa kicks . we went there as often as we could. of course, we did spend more time at mgm than any other park, but the main reason we went to mgm so often is to ride r 'n' r. if that park hadn't had the coaster and tower, we probaly would of checked it out once or twice, and then spent the rest of our free time at mk (we loved chillin' and watching people) or at ioa (hulk, dragons, spiderman, popeye, and ripsaw falls kick total ).

I could not see adding another mountain right now unless they did something around the 20,000 leaguse pool but to make it fit into fantasyland would not be easy.

At least those 100 posts are on topic. What you just said is pointless. You don't want to discuss it? Don't. Others will.

I would love to see journey to the center of the earth! Not sure if it would fit in at Magic Kingdom, but perhaps MGM when and if they expand the park across the street. Not sure if it would fit in the existing side of the park...it would look awkward up front, so it'd have to be in the back of the park...as for Dueling Dragons in Animal Kingdom. Yes, it was planned to be there, but I'm kinda glad they didn't put it in. Reign of Fire looks to be better. The original plan involved Beastly being built as a land centered around the coaster. Disney has learned that one-attraction lands do not work, so I would expect the Beastly Kingdom we see to be much better than what was originally planned. Amazing that Animal Kingdom was originally supposed to have three coasters when it opened...

OK...here's my take on the dead dog.....

We have discussed this already, and the thought was that even with themeing, a pure "thrill ride" park will never be a reality. I'm sure they thought about it when IOA opened up. But take in mind that the type of crowd that park would draw would be drastically different (and younger), making for all new problems....plus Disney has always said that they want to make parks that families can enjoy together....really young ones or really old ones can't/won't go on thrill rides.

Plus, it would draw away from the other parks a bit....why would disney build a park that they know would make other parks hurt even more than they are right now? New rides in the existing parks revitalize them, and bring new people in, but they still keep the park as a whole unchanged.

Adding to the parks or building parks in the current format is the best idea. You may not like my idea, but I ask you respect it.
