Ok...after hearing some of my brother's entertainment experiences, it just has motivated me even more, and pushed me even more..to get a job in entertainment.

I was thinking about Seasonal, during the summer..and the busy times. Now since I am a minor, would they make me work during school? Do my parents have to attend the interview? Do they have to sign forms for Disney? What's the process like?

Also, what are some of the benefits for seasonal minor CM's? if any..Now what I am understand is that I can work any days I want. Is that true? Thanks!

SirHiss, I'm glad you brought that question up. I've been thinking of possibly working there next summer, and also had the same questions. :)

As sesasonal you do not get any benefits. During school you can only work certain times due to you are a minor and in school. You can not work past certain times and not that many hours during school.

During non-school days you can work, but I think only up to so many hours. With parades and shows you would have to be trained and those training sessions do not occur until late in the evenings....

The 2 parades that you dont have to have any training for are Spectro, and Disney's Stars+Motor cars..but only as fur characters..which is fine..and if Disney is the same as all minor places in Florida..Disney can make work up till 11 o'clock at night.

Thanks Atta! For the answers.

Hey Sir Hiss, you know I just got a position in entertainment.

You will have limitations as a Minor. Since you are seasonal, you will be working peak hours only. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc. They call you when they need you, and you work :) As for benefits, I think you get admission into the park and discounts like a regular CM. You should really call Casting though, the hotline is (407) 828-1000, you are best off calling them and asking.

There are chances that he could work on the weekends as well as some school days in the late afternoon or evenings.

ok here's the question I am still confused about, and need..

If I wanna work, do I just call them up, and say "put me on the schedule, I wanna work this week"? Or do they schedule me anytime they want me to work? That's the answer I need. Thanks!

You call them and give them your avalibility, like say you wanna work during spring break, you give them full avalibility for the whole week, its up to them when they wanna schedule you. They could only schedule you one day if that is all they need you even though you gave them a full week.

No, they can not. Only when you give them avalibility can they schedule you. Like right now I am in texas and did not give avalibility so therefor they do not schedule me to work.

Sir Hiss, have you called casting? Trust me! It's a 24 hour hotline for ANY questions about working at Disney, it's your best resource. As for your question, from what I remember being told, you work during peak park hours, so you are pretty much asked to work when it's busy, as for the days, i'm not sure. CALL CASTING!
