From what I've heard it's pretty hard, but you can always try requesting one when you get there, it's worth a shot.

This might seem kind of random, but are you interested in finding a roommate ahead of time? I'm just asking because I'm also arriving on August 22nd and I'd really like to choose mine ahead of time. I'm kind of worried that I'll just get stuck with someone that isn't into Disney like I am and will just want to party and stuff, so I've been trying to find one on these boards. I posted a survey here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=168583 so I guess take a look at it and tell me what you think.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm actually going down with my roommate from school, so we've already requested each other. Hope you find someone though!

You can. But you would have to pay $50.

Even with paying the $50, one of our neighbors were actually denied their request to move and was out $50. You really need a great case in order to move or get the right housing adviser on the right day. I had 2 of my room mates move into my apartment because their other room mates either stole their money, or they just didn't like vista anymore. Like I said, being at the right place at the right time, or having a Cochran case in addition to the $50 you'll be on your way to some new room mates. I however was glad that I never sought relocation, although the inevitable roommate enduced drama thought differently.

I swear, I had the worst roomie luck last CP. After making it through my first CP with all 4 of us from the first day, we went through SIX roomies altogether in a 2-BR apartment. 1 moved out because of issues back home (left the program altogether), 1 moved over to Vista because she turned 21, and it was crazy. Only me and one other roomie were left from check-in. Hopefully this summer won't be as crazy.

I was in an 8-person apartment, and amazingly enough all 8 of us lasted to the very end. I was so surprised, since most of them seemed to call in every other day. We all wanted one of our roommates to leave, as she was certifiably insane, but alas she was with us the whole time. :)

I think our apartment was the only one I knew of where someone didn't leave.
