i love stitch, and i'm afraid that the marketing is going to kill him

stitch is a great character, but i don't know how much more they can do before they make the general public sick of him

STITCH OF THE CARIBBEAN.... Come watch Stitch cause havoc to swash-buckling pirates in the Caribbean.. Did the Pirates ransack the town or was it Stitch?? Come in and see, only at WDW Stitch Kingdom...

And then, after a voyage through the Caribbean, head to Frontierland for a ride on Splash Mountain... Where Stitch causes Brer Rabbit to run away... Stitch causes more havoc in the priar patch as Brer Fox and Brer Bear give chase... Fun for all ages....

Hey I love the little guy, but I admit, too much marketing of Stitch....\

As for Pirates... I would love to see a Jack SParrow AA, but, in the jail scene or even a new final scene with Jack going through the treasure room...

Last I heard, what Al is talking about is just for Disneyland. WDW would get a much lighter dose of Sparrow and Barbossa.

Too bad...I like the Disneyland plan, myself.

Why do you think Disney mass marketed Stitch? Could it be that children respond more to advertising than any demographic? Might Stitch's Great Escape be deemed a "kid's ride"? No... that can't be it... that's too obvious.

I just hope, if there is a retheming, that they take into account the next two movies as well. I'd hate to see the Pirates reopening outdated by the sequels right away. Then it would have to close again :-(

I'm sure there are select Imagineers (IE the Imagineers in charge of this project) who have been given some Idea as to the premise of the 2 sequels so they 1- don't do something in the attraction that counteracts something in the sequels or 2-don't leave out important points of the first movie that affect the sequels or 3- have a chance to incorperate a littl ebit of the next 2 movies so they don't outdate the ride within months fo the reopening.

I love POTC, I think that one or two Jacks will not kill it. I just hope they don't go overboard like every one is thinking they will. I'm not sure if Walt Disney would like them messing with one of his best rides.

Does any one know if POTC will be closed in December at WDW, I'm getting mixed messages? THis is only Disneyland?

I think the addition of the 'see through' skeletons, but to add Sparrow and Barbosa is too much. Great idea, but not the ride. Admitted, having Sparrow would be awesome, but no.

Nuts, I was planning to go to DLR mid-March next year for my college spring break. I may have to post-pone until after June 16 now. I can't travel all the way to CA and miss out on POTC. That's one of my favorite rides! Plus, I missed out on DLP's POTC when I was there because it was under refurb. I don't want the same to happen at DLR. It's been 14 years since I last went and I'm not sure when I'll get back.

This refurb does sound cool though. As long as they don't overdo it with the Johnny Depp animatronics. I love Johnny Depp and Jack Sparrow, but I don't want a movie character overload on this classic attraction. After all, this was one of Walt's final achievements.

This rumor is devastating to me. POTC is one of my favorite rides and while I absolutely love the movie I don't think they should insert movie characters and scenes into the ride. I fear the ride could be butchered like the Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management, particularily if they over do it. As someone else pointed out, it wouldn't make sense to have multiple Jack Sparrow audio-animatronics as the town is one continuous scene. I am certainly not against change but I think this is going too far. It seems like nothing is sacred anymore. I understand that they need to reach new audiences but POTC is already one of the most beloved attractions, why do they have to change it?

I would love for them to update the animatronics. It would make the ride more real.
