A study is currently being conducted on Fantasmic. They are looking at the guest numbers, cost to run the show etc. Management that has direct guest interaction are in favor of more shows or a return to a nightly showing. The very high ranking want to see the numbers before making a final decision. Hopefully this study will show them the negative affect of Fantasmic's reduction has caused on guests.

Indeed, this is interesting. I really don't like going to DHS and that day they are not showing Fantastmic. I'm thinking positivly and hopeing that they will continue showing it nightly. :)

i swear to god if some bonehead manager decides to cut that to save money. they will need 6 swat teams and the national guard if that manager wants to remain safe.

They better get the survey done before people see youtube video of World of Color.

Cause once folks see that, they will be demanding it everywhere. IMO.

Heh, might have a point with that. I know I've been following the project and I for one am extremely jealous of the folks at DLR right now. Hopefully we'll see the application of some WoC tech come to this coast in the near future.

As for the Fant! surveys, about time. Perhaps if they had done that in the first place they could have avoided some very long lines at Guest Relations. At they very least, they need to have showings 4 days a week; the really proper thing to do, though, is to go back to noghtly showings.

The crowds have been incredibly light this week (touringplans.com's low has been 4, but I think they may have to bust out a 3 or 2 for what we're seeing this week). Monday night we were at the 6:30 show and it wasn't full. I would guess that 8:00 show would be even less crowded.

It's the first week of December. This is always a slow time. I'd be more shocked if you were telling me it was full. I certainly hope they're not planning on running a study during an historically low attendance period.

Personally I couldn't really care less if we have Fantasmic every night as ours is awful. If they would give it a major refurb putting in hi-def projectors, and the new additions that DL has maybe I'd be willing to go see it again. I've been underwhelmed everytime I've seen it.

It's typically slow, but not this slow. Normally there will be a few really quiet days during the week, but since Sunday it has been dead. Test Track has been a walk on after 7 PM, Everest was a walk on at 4 PM today on an Evening Extra Magic Hour night.

To Disney's credit, they have run Fantasmic at least once (usually twice) on all but one night of my vacation (Saturday).
