You are relatively new to these boards, and really just recently starting running your mouth about stuff you have no clue about. Where is your magic 8-ball. What middle-school paper did you research by skimming Disney War?
So far, you have been all bark, no bite. All rumor... no proof. and as the person spewing the fertilizer, the burden of proof is on you. If other choose to get their hopes up and wait for the projects you mention which will never come, then that's your responsibility. Their dashed hopes on your head. Son, let me tell you something ive been poping up on the disney boards for years now and I dont have to prove myself, especially to the likes of you. Oh and miceage specializes in unfounded rumors riiiight...if I recall that was the first place where talk of the revival of the Submarine Voyage, pirates of the caribean redo, and upgrades to Disneyland's jungle cruise and space mountain came from (all of which turned out true). Funny thing is I bet Al Lutz and Jim Hill know more about Disney then you ever will despite that you claim to "hang out with imagineers all day long".

Mice Age represents everything that is wrong with the Disney internet fan sites. I hold nothing but disgust for them. The people who write for Mice Age (of which both Kevin Yee and Al Lutz are the worst) are the worst type of people, begging for attention by "leading" scores of looneys.
Let me let you in on a little secret.... Kevin Yee HATES Walt Disney World. He writes about it in such a negative way he should be ashamed of himself. His article faulting Disneyland for not having any areas for his child to run around in, and just an area to play, and in the same article faulting Walt Disney World for building Pooh's Playful Spot, is simply hilarious. They are the worst type of demagoguery, the "pay attention to me" because they want to feel important.
They are not celebrities, and dear god are they not important. They are fiends, making money and fame off of a company that isn't there's, though they want to believe that it is.
They have pictures! They have stories! They go to the rides! Well, bully for them. They should enjoy it. If they don't enjoy, they simply should not go. Isn't that the whole point of entertainment? Kevin Yee writes so many negative articles about WDW, that he had to throw in ONE positive one around X-Mas time, to show people good faith. Grrr....

P.S. If you are in college, then proper punctuation and usage of English words (Like 'Hurrrr') really helps to improve one's image and authenticity. Still doesn't prove you know anything.... Being a constant visitor to Disney fansites? Still doesn't prove you know anything... Only that you can be led to believe any lie that anyone can put out there, without any validation.

WDI was supposed to upgrade and revamp 5 classic attractions (JC, Space Mountain, POTC, HM and IASW)

I can definitely confirm this was the plan for Florida, at least back in the fall of 2002. I was told this directly by Al Weiss at the time.

I don't really care what they do to WDW's version as long as they keep it tasteful. Our version is ok, but nothing spectacular IMO. We'll be going sometime in June and I hope the attraction is finished by then, but I'm not expecting it to happen at all. If something POSITIVE were to happen to the Magic Kingdom (for a change), it would be worth the extra time to get the job done right.

I too am kinda looking forward to this, it could be exactly what our PoTC needs. BTW, my g/f said that Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom where at WDW the last two days, maybe it had something to do with the ride?

I am looking forward to the refurb too. I am especially excited about the proposed "operational enhancements" and some other new things going into the ride. POTC has been needing some love for a few years, and now it looks like it is going to get some love IASW style.

I would first do WDW before DL, DL is greatness in itself but a little shallow in the beginning, WDW can handle a bigger booster -- maybe to distinguish the two from eachother more. WDW from movie 1 with skeleton pirates, DL from movie 2 with sharkboy and Davy. Different rides aren't a bad idea, see SM, 2 totally different stories.

POTC does need some IASW type of TLC, but my gosh the Haunted Mansion is in worse shape than anything else on property, IMO.

After seeing POTC and the HM during my last trip, it made me wonder why these attractions are so popular and why they have lasted this long. Then I remembered that they haven't always appeared this old and run down. Hopefully the Ghost Host is next on the list.

You know what? You are absolutely correct, and for that I apologize... This is a thread to get excited about the upcoming enhancements to the Pirates attraction. Believe me, I know all to well that I let another poster get me riled up, and I should be the bigger man.
Well done with the info WelcomeHome, it really is genuinely useful. So... anyone have any thoughts/ ideas about where the new animatronics are going to be placed in the attraction? And the bigger question is still out there... the leg.... more or less hair?
