Very disappointed if that is the case. IMO turning and slowing down for show scenes kills the flow of a coaster. A coaster is a terrible ride for a dark ride.

I didn’t say it would slow down. I also didn’t say there would be show scenes. I just said the spinning feature would allow it.

The implementation could be similar to Guardians. Or it could be a feature they only use for load and unload. Who knows.

A coaster doesn’t have to slow down to pass show scenes. There’s many coasters all throughout Europe that maintain their speed while also passing through scenes. They’re not meant to be taken like dark ride scenes are.

As a coaster enthusiast it might be what you prefer, but it’s not the best fit for the ride they wanted to create.

A coaster doesn’t have to slow down to pass show scenes. There’s many coasters all throughout Europe that maintain their speed while also passing through scenes. They’re not meant to be taken like dark ride scenes are.

Europa Park and Efteling deserve special mention of this.

Totally disagree. What makes Guardians unique is the controlled spinning, amongst other factors.

While the vertical lift for Monsters isn't new information, it still has a pretty cool WOW factor that gets me pretty psyched for this attraction. This is shaping up quite nicely.

A randomized whipping experience through darkness is better than a well maintained controlled spin? Like what are we even saying anymore. Epcot needs more things for families to do anyway. Guardians is in a good spot to me as both a coaster enthusiast and a lover of storytelling. It’s much better than a launched wild mouse you can get elsewhere

It would be better for you but worse for most people.

I don't believe Disney should be building anything more thrilling than what they already have and if they are smart, they will keep all new attractions on the mid to lower end of the thrill scale and instead focus on setting, story and tech.
