Monsieur Paul Epcot Restaurant

There is a WDWMagic thread that ranks Monsieur Paul as the #1 Restaurant Experience in Epcot. I skimmed the text and the prices are not surprisingly through the roof. To eat here using the Disney Dining Plan would be: 1)impossible? 2)Possible but requires two sit downs? 3)Other....if "other" please explain.

Signature dining, so 2 TS credits. Haven't been since this was Bistro de Paris, but am going in May. From what I read, the quality of food is definitely there but the menu, type of service, and atmosphere isn't overly popular with everyone. As for the "#1 Experience" in Epcot? I'd say it really depends on what you like. Thus far for example, my own #1 would be Marrakesh but again, this turns a lot of people off.

Thank you for your answer @OneofThree . I could do more research but it would be much more enjoyable to explore this topic with you and others on this thread.
When FINE DINING is portrayed on tv or in movies the portions are often small. Expensive small portioned food on a large lovely plate.
Is this the case with Monsieur Paul?

Picking up on how you concluded your post......Please tell me why you like Marrakesh.

I think it begins with the interesting decor and unique entertainment. You've got live music with a talented dancer. Also, the service of the CM's was excellent -they are competent, attentive, and pleasant. The menu is also interesting, and the food quality is some of the best anywhere on Disney property, IMO. Let's just say that we went to both Marrakesh and Yachtsman in December, and Marrakesh is the one I can't wait to return to.

While waiting for your response or the response of any other posters, I googled Marrakesh.
It's not for us. Sorry. I went back to the dining thread and read what you and others commented. Very helpful. Thanks!
Would you or anyone else kindly respond to my question re. the portions at Monsieur Paul? My question is framed in more detail just above :)
Edit: This is post #5. My original question is two posts above....in post #3. Thanks ;)

Seems like "YES".
I went to Tripadvisor and selected the page for reviewers to post their reviews of Monsieur Paul. I opened up the photo gallery that reviewers have shared. After going through 30 or so photos I stopped. I got the idea. It IS kinda like I expected. I'm personally not gonna burn two TS credits for this restaurant.

In the past we've eaten at the French Restaurant that requires only 1 table service credit. We've also eaten in Canada and in Italy.
WHO WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THEIR OPINION OF EATING IN JAPAN?? My meaning is The hibachi style dining.

Might get flak for this, but if your #1 concern about a fine-dining restaurant is that portions are small and you could get bigger meals elsewhere, then it's most likely not the place for you...

Now it might be helpful to restate my recent question: Who would like to share their opinion of JAPAN'S Hibachi Restaurant? I found the name.... Teppan Edo.

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

The very BEST dining at EPCOT may be reached by getting on the IG BOAT, and getting out of EPCOT.
This will get you to...
1) Shula's (Dolphin)
2) Il Mulinno (Swan)
3) Yachtsman's Steak House (Yachtsman).

These are just mine. Honorable mention to BlueZoo, and Flying Fish.

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.
There are no real Signature Restaurants within any park, with the possible exception of The Hollywood Brown Derby - and THEY are under stress.

Please? Just get OUT of the Parks. It's Park Food. It just isn't Fine Dining.

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

I don't blame you emphasizing the personal opinion aspect. People can be quick to jump on a poster for sharing their opinion. Thanks for sharing yours :)

I’ve never dined at Shula’s, but absolutely second Il Mulino and Yachtsman. Fantastic meals at both places.

Il Mulino is a hidden gem. Maybe the best value on WDW property. In fact, I take it back, never mind don’t go there. <wink, wink>

While I have never been to Monsieur Paul and can’t speak to its level of fine dining, I agree with you in general about in-park dining, although Epcot used to have a few standouts. RIP Alfredo’s.

Although I'm sure that Shula's , Il Mulino and Yachtsman are all amazing......we have some wonderful restaurants here in NJ as well. Nearby cities are NYC and Philadelphia. Spending time in a Disney Theme Park is a rare treat. Good restaurants are wonderful but not rare. ;)
So, since we are rarely in Epcot, we'd prefer to stay there the entire day/night.
Teppan Edo has good reviews.....looks good. I'm confident that we'll like it while also making the best use of our time.
We'll be one day in MK, one day in AK, and one day in Epcot. A little mini getaway in early November.
On our getaway / check out day we'll have lunch in Disney Springs.
Hey......yeah.....thread evolving again :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Any suggestions for lunch at Disney Springs?
