Monorail getting bigger

Ok so yesturday my father and i had taken the Behind the scences train tour at the magic kingdom and Conductor jack who was our tour guide. had told us that the monorail will be going to MGM and AK and will also get two new major resorts connected on it like the Contemp and Grand.


So 2 new resorts and monorail to all parks. except water parks

OOOH - perhaps Harry Potter will drive the new monorail, and the Timekeeper will entertain in the first car! -- then it will go through that new gate called "Invisibleland" and drop off riders at the special undersea resort.

The conductor on my "Magic behind our steam trains" tour in Oct '02 told me he expected to see land being cleared for monorail expansion within 6 months. 42 months later, I do not believe they have started yet.

and after it leaves AK, on it's way back to the TTC, the Monorail will pass thru Hogwarts, the Indiana Jones Adventure, Villians Mountain, the 5th Gate etc. Oh, and Stitch makes all the announcements.:D

Hey, I already made reservations at the undersea resort. It's called Neptune's Palace, and instead of beds, the guests sleep in clam shells!

To get there, you take one of the subs that used to be at 20K leagues...

No Light Rail in FLA!

The Monorail Expansion was put to a vote and approved... but Gov. Jeb Bush stepped in and put a stop to it because Disney is obviously unable to make decisions on it's own.

(You see, the residents of Florida voted in favor of high speed rail between several Florida cities a few years ago, but Jeb put it to a revote because... he disagreed).

Wow.. you managed to mangle that post by saying light rail, monorail and high speed rail. Nice!

Now what they would do if they were really smart is expand that monorail you take at MCO. Instead of riding it to baggage, you could just take it right out to the resort! :)

Or better yet, how about Jetson-style cars that the family just hops into. Dad can drop Elroy off at Disney Quest, Judy off at EE, Mom at DD and then just zoom over to the golf course and fold the car up and make a golf club bag out of it.
