Monorail down times?

I leave for disney Saturday and got a vague email from disney saying that we should have alternate plans for transportation as needed due to scheduled monorail down time during our trip. Is it just closing early or is it closing completely at some points during the day or what's up? Honestly I think it's rather poorly timed to have it down during spring break rather than say January-early Feb, May, or late Aug-Sept when the parks are a bit less chaotic.

This is what was posted here a few weeks ago:

The Walt Disney World Monorail Express beam will be operating on a reduced schedule through to the summer of 2015.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 11:30am to 6pm, the Express beam will be closed for maintenance. During that time, the Resort and Epcot beams will continue to operate as normal. Watercraft and busses will also be operating throughout the closures.

The revised schedule begins on March 10 2015.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm, the Express beam will be closed. The Resort and Epcot beams will continue to operate as normal during that time.

11:30-6:00 is a relatively slow time for the monorail so I would not expect park closing time style backups, but just being able to walk on like you normally would most likely will not happen.

Depending on the backup, you might want to consider using the ferry.
